  • My pain management plan went out the window with a backwards and at times sideways facing head slamming on my tailbone and sciatic nerve, with contractions every 1.5 minutes. I bet the candles would've totally helped though. The epidural didn't completely take and wasn't working at all with pushing so...pain management was lots of screaming and reminding myself that there was nothing that could be done except the baby coming out.

BETTER LUCK TO YOUR VAGINAS THAN MINE

That is terrifying!! Was DH there? Any comfort at all??
  • That's really comforting, @ElRuby . I'm starting to get really anxious about the unknown, and everyone sharing experiences really helps.

I have nothing but empathy for you. I'm glad you had a good outcome but that doesn't make it easier or less painful. I remember thinking with DS "there has to be a better way" and realizing the other way involved cutting my abdomen open, so you just grit your teeth and do the work. I hope you heal quickly!
  • @ElRuby I hate foley balloons. They are the devil. Yes.... They work. But they are the devil and cause soooo much pain.
