My husband asked me recently why dont I dress up anymore and I wanted to punch him in the face!!! This first trimester has almost taken me out between working in nasty new york city and going to school on the nasty nyc subways. sometimes i dont get home until 11 pm. ok im done ranting. Do you guys have the energy to put on more than a pair of yoga pants and a comfy top? (in denial about maternity clothes lol..want to wait)
Re: first trimester: Do you still dress up? makeup, hair, nails, brows, clothes..other than stretch pants.
Still in first tri-Dec 31 due date. Can't wait for this fog to lift.

But I also have fairly easy pregnancies (so far, fingers crossed). I don't get morning sickness, just aversions and sensitive gag reflex mostly. So I don't feel like pregnancy kicks my butt. With my first I did have the severe fatigue but I haven't felt it near as bad with this one. A tender mercy for sure since DD is a very active 1 year old and I bring her to work 20 hrs/week where I also watch a 2 year old. That's another reason I don't wear more than jeans and a t-shirt- I'm around kids all day who would just stain and ruin a nice blouse.
I live in yoga pants. That's dressing up for me. Otherwise I'm in sweatpants. And comfy tops.
DH--bless his heart--says I'm beautiful even at my worst but sometimes it's just nice to put on some date-night make-up and a dress just to feel pretty again
Shaving, makeup, eyebrows, hair, nails ... nope. I feel like I haven't cared about the whole grooming thing in months, but I'm not hard on myself about it. I've had a really rough trimester so I'm cutting myself some slack. Now that I'm finally on the upswing, I plan on spending a whole day pampering myself and hopefully getting back to feeling like myself.

But because I haven't really been dressing up, when I do go out on the weekends, I'm more likely to put effort into it because it's more novel now. Now shaving my legs, that's a whole different story.
First tri is no joke.
