Weekend Plans

Happy Friday ladies!! How's your weekend shaping up? I am off for the summer although I have workshops every week this month. Today is my only lazy day this week but I'm spending it cleaning the living room so DH and his parents can put in wood floors tomorrow while my parents and I take H to do some fun stuff. Sunday will be spent finishing up the nursery and packing hospital bags. I am 36 weeks today and as of Wednesday, am 2cm and 50% effaced.

TTC#2: 6/2014 all testing came back normal

    @mnj05 those stats are looking pretty good. Excited for you. Baby will be here soo soon. Are you guys ready? Do you have a name picked out?

    We are tossing around the idea of heading to Tahoe for the weekend. DH really wants to take DS fishing and they have a small stocked lake just for kids.

    @Cwhitaker27 - I'm ready in the sense of physically being over the pregnancy but not in any other way. Th nursery is a wreck although the crib is put together and clothes are washed/put away. DH has been working a ton this week so we haven't been able to do much like we wanted to. He just got called out again tonight too. I'm hoping Sunday can be spent getting that room in order but we'll see. We do have a name, Graham Matthew. DH keeps joking that we named our boys like old men, H is Hudson James.

    @mnj05 I love your kids names! I don't think they're old man names at all!! On the contrary, they sound cute for a kid but sophisticated enough for a man.

    @mnj05 will you try for more or is this it? In my mind we're done but DH has some serious baby fever right now. Can guys even have baby fever?!?! Maybe he's just in denial that our baby will be 1 next month

    I'm learning that guys do have baby fever. My BIL has wanted a second one for a while (they did IVF as well the first time around). I only ever envisioned two kids but DH has wanted three. He's one of three and likes that number. We do have 3 frosties and I have seriously considered trying for one more. A lot of it will depend on how G makes his appearance. If I have another c/s, I don't really want to go for a third and put my body through that again; if I get my vbac, I'm open to a third. I selfishly want a girl but of course there's no guarantee of that. We won't make a final decision until G is two and probably wouldn't transfer until he's 2.5-ish.

    DD1 and I start our parent/child tennis lessons with the local rec tomorrow. So I'm excited about that.

    Today I booked flights for our 10 year anniversary trip to San Francisco this fall. Really excited about that.

    @Cwhitaker27 are you guys really thinking about baby #3? I'm actually trying to avoid during my "fertile" time bc I'm a little nervous about a surprise right now.
    IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    @CarrieB. So excited you guys are coming to SF!!! Sounds like a great trip. Let me know if you need any ideas/ recommendations. I live in a suburb of SF.

    We are not seriously talking about 3 but DH continues to bring it up. I actually got an IUD after DD because like you, I was nervous about a surprise. Pregnancy doesn't suit me well and after DD I basically said I was done but not ready to "close shop" for good. DH is making me second guess my decision. I go back and forth on a day to day basis.
