Mums back off sedation yay! She's opened her eyes a few times today too :-) still not talking or anything, hopefully will see a difference after 24 hours with no sedation meds.
@mybabynumber2 sending prayers for your family glad to hear she's back off sedation
we did some nesting this weekend getting the nursery ready but it looks like we might be moving out of the state before baby comes so we may have to do it all again in a new house lol. I wanted to have DH spray paint some things for some crafts I've been working on for baby but we haven't had a long enough stretch when its not raining to go outside a paint lol. I wanted some rain since we've been in a serious drought but goodness when is it going to stop?! My grandparents farm is completely flooded.
Mums eyes are open and she's miming to me! Ohhh ladies I am the happiest person in the world right now! :-) When I told her I loved her, she mimed back that she loves me too! She still has a tube down her, just opening her lungs up and is still hooked up to all sorts, but she's on the mend. :-)
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart for all your wonderful kind words and support. I won't forget it. :-) Xxxxx
@mybabynumber2 - I am soooo happy for you! I was having kind of a shit day, but hearing your wonderful news really did make me feel better! Hooray for momma! ♡♡
I hope we're all around as the babies come in in September. I can't wait to hear birth stories, other half stories (we will have them!!!), ahhhh moments, crap moments and all that goes in between.
mybabynumber2 - hope all continues to improve with your mum. hugs xxx
@mybabynumber2 So glad your mother is doing well! I'll continue praying that she improves quickly! Keep us updated. I know a lot of us have her in our thoughts and prayers.
In September last year we had a miscarriage. At my 10 week ultrasound they discovered the baby no longer had a heartbeat. In January we found out that I am pregnant again. My husband and i are so happy! My doctor has been keeping a close eye on me and pretty much every doctors visit, so far I have had an ultrasound. Before every appointment I get very worried. I have my 23 week appointment today and as usual I am nervous. I'm such a lucky girl because my husband takes off work and goes to every appointment with me. I have the greatest husband ever and I love him so very much!
@mybabynumber2 - your mom and your family are in my thoughts. I hope there will be more improvement in days to come. Be strong!
I was really sick over the weekend but still went on a cabin vacation with my husband and his parents. Over all it was good but a somewhat stressfu as well. His parents kept on taking pictures of "me," my stomach so they can show it off to their friends that I don't even know.......... I don't like when people take my pictures and I don't like being seen as this--this vessel.
Well I'm back home behind thick walls happy with my nesting work.
The past two days my eyes have been SUPER dry!! I wear contacts and never had allergies or anything. I think It may be attributable to my past two sleepless nights. But by this time, 4pm IM DYING! I want to rip my eyes out. Brought my glasses today... but oh guess what.. left contact case at home so no relief again... just another thing to have to endure during the day..... #-o sorry for the rant.... just ready to go home I think.
So, I was at the hospital today for a routine non-pregnancy related appointment (for a chronic medical condition), and someone came over to ask me if I was in labor. She wanted to get me a wheelchair. This was very nice of her, but it still made me feel like a bit of a whale at only 22 weeks...
I had a dream today that my husband took the day off of work because we were picking up a bassinet today that we got on Craigslist. Well I finally wake up after another dream about a giant that was protecting an island made of wood, and a donkey and Peter Dinklage was in it too... My husband was already up and ready for work. I was all confused with him leaving because he told me that he took the day off......... Oops!!!
Hahah! Aww. Better than my crazy pregger dream/nightmare. DH was cheating on me with a random girl from xbox, and I made him take me to her house...turns out...the girl was........me? I woke up sooooo confused.....
Well today was a rather nice but kind of embarrassing. Whilst at the hospital visiting mum, she's moved wards now ladies :-) She's now on a high dependency ward rather than intensive care. She's very confused and not making much sense.
So I came to leave and one of the nurses asked when I was due, so I told her, then she very nicely continued to tell me how pregnancy suited me & that I had a 'neat' bump. I thanked her and continued to put my jacket on, then another 3 came along and joined in....'oh ur right Jane, she does suit pregnancy doesn't she?'.... It gets better... then the visitors joined in! ....'George, doesn't she carry well'... Eh?!.. Err hello, I AM HERE!... The ward has 4 beds in so not too many visitors, thank god.
Hahahah! I'm sorry, but that's adorable. I love when people make those kind of comments that are in no way meant to be rude or anything, but genuinely happy to see a pregnant woman. And I am glad to hear your mom is doing better. The confusion will subside and sounds like she getting stronger everyday. She sounds like a tough cookie. It's good to hear!
Wow. That was a lot of reading. I'm so glad to hear that your mom is doing better! My poor fiancé was trying to get some sleep this morning, then he sits up and goes "Can't I get any sleep around here? The dog is squishing me from one side, and the baby is kicking my elbow from the other!" I just started laughing. I couldn't help it. Luckily he started laughing too.
I got a hair cut yesterday (I had long hair, but now it's practically shoulder length) and man, oh man do I feel great! I was having a pregnancy moment yesterday, and couldn't stand all the hair! So, while my DH was at a ball game, I stopped and got a haircut on the way home.. I didn't tell him what I was doing ..;;) he got in the car after the game, and said "now I know how you feel when I shave off my beard. It's like, no?! why is it gone? But then again, I really like it" and I don't feel like I'm wearing a scarf made of hair now! Hooray!

Pregnancy related but today I made myself a brew, wondered why the tea bag wasn't acting its usual self in the mug... Didn't really think much of it until I drank it....
It was stone cold... I hadn't boiled the kettle X_X
I'm having a total pregnant hormonal day. It's the last day of school here, and I took pics of the kiddos this morning. That was the best part of the day. Since then I've been a blubbering mess. Took my littlest out to breakfast and what I ordered was gross and Liam refused to eat. I had an awful dream about relapsing while I napped. Cried for a solid half hour after. Still wiping away the occasional tear because everything I think of makes me cry. I feel undeserving of everything today. We are going out to eat tonight after the hubby gets home, so maybe I'll cheer up then. Damn these hormones. (
@PrincessPiper ohhh honey! Your doing so amazingly well with your sobriety. Seems like an emotional day what with your eldest going up a grade, that's enough to make you emotional and all these hormones.
Sending big MAHOOSIVE hugs your way sweetie xxxx >:D<
@MW5280 I know how to fix that... But I can't remember... Why do I know how to fix it... Because my cat did it to me! I know it's one of the buttons along the top of the keyboard... I googled it on my iPad when it happened!
Last night I went to graduation for my old students. I taught them from 9th grade until 11th, and I missed them so much this year! I was so proud of them last night! They've grown up so much in the last four years... If I feel like this about kids that aren't mine, I can only imagine what it will be like with my own!
Silly but we are kind of, sort of, naming our girl after a character from a movie. Anyway, I'm watching it now and it just makes me so dang happy/excited every time!
Re: Bit of a chat anyone?

For SD's 9th bday we said we would get her a kitten. We picked up this little whacko yesterday - meet Kayley!

Let's just say I made a rather quick exit.
I just started laughing. I couldn't help it. Luckily he started laughing too.

The kitten has managed to turn off the keys on the keyboard to my laptop.
I don't even know how to fix that...really hoping DH has a plan when he gets home from work later...
