what's with all the shaming?

Re: what's with all the shaming?

  • There is 1 thing that I cannot stand, and it's the sarcastic "LOL's" or "haha's" that are thrown into a response when someone was just trying to state THEIR opinion. I think the debates that some women get into on here are great and I love following them because they are truly showing both sides to a scenario. Sometimes things get taken the wrong way, but the snarky, childish, and completely inappropriate LOL to me is so wrong when someone is just stating their opinion.

@kcas123 I really do not like when someone posts something mean/snarky/rude and then writes haha or lol at the end of even a smily face. i feel like it adds to the rudeness. There's one person who does it every time she's being rude and i just skip past her name now.

Anytime I see it - SCROLL DOWN is my immediate action. Again, I guess that's what makes us all different. I'm sarcastic and brash at times but I find the LOL's and Hehe/Haha unessesary in most contexts and @bostonbaby, if I had seen that comment regarding my miscarriage, I would have gone OFF. They either have never understood the pain of experiencing such a horrible thing or are just horrible people. And I do not consider age an excuse. I'm only 26 and find it rude.

Unfortunately, I did go off and it got me a warning. I didn't go off towards the girl that wrote this, but I went off on somebody else that came trolling at me. She ended up getting banned. I still feel as though the warning should be retracted. It is grossly unfair that somebody could come at you making fun of your losses and in my mind, it's beyond trashy!
