I'm on my second pregnancy 16 weeks and 5 days and no noticeable bump (unless I'm naked.) It'll come eventually, until then clothes are kind of a PITA. BUT you don't waddle yet. Not waddling is always a plus.
I'd understand the rush. I am very content to still be on my regular jeans. The way I see it, I will have weeks of feeling big and uncomfortable I might as well enjoy myself now.
14w here. I'm heavyset, and while some people swear they see a bump, I promise them it's just chub. Or maybe baby is pushing the fat out a little more. I'm jealous of all the cute little bumps, but as long as I'm not 39 weeks and no one can tell, I'll be fine! Hahaha :P
Just a thought from a second time mom. I wonder how many women who are really wanting a bump now will be like, "I am so done with this pregnancy and just want it out!" by November. lol.
I know I was that way with my first. I was so eager to get to the next stage that I missed a lot of the good parts about the stage that I was in at the time. I'm trying to avoid that this time around.

I am thinking the same thing - the same people that are looking for their bump will be the ones freaking out in a few months.
Your bump will come! This is me at 23 weeks with #1. It's not even really a bump, more like my body was curved or something. Enjoy tying your shoes while you can, I know it's exciting!

As a first time mom, I am trying so hard to remind myself to take it all in and enjoy each stage as it comes. But I guess that's easy for me to say when I'm 17 weeks and have a little bump starting! Just be thankful you can still fit in your normal clothes.
I am 17 weeks FTM and am no rush for a baby bump. I like the clothes I own and would rather not spend money on clothes i will only be wearing for a few or so months. As of right now i mostly have a "food baby bump" mixed with a little bloating. So I do need to use an elastic band around my pant buttons during the day.

Yes, this! I was the same with DS and really missed out on the awesomeness that is the 2nd trimester. I was feeling better, still fit into most of my clothing and got my energy back. I was very sick the first trimester and was then regretting trying to rush things in the third trimester as a new onslaught of unpleasant symptoms set in. Enjoy it now! I'm loving feeling better at this point and still not really showing. The bump will come... boy will it come!

This!! I was sooo uncomfortable the last 6-8 weeks I literally cried everyday. I would have to sit and take breaks walking up the stairs because I had SPD sooo bad. I felt like my insides were ripping and tearing. I literally didn't think I would make it 40 weeks. This time I am enjoying the comfort. TRUST ME LADIES-- enjoy this time! You can't even imagine how uncomfortable you can possibly feel in your last trimester. Just when you think it can't get worse- it does!
I was the same with my first, I was wearing super tight tops and sticking it out and I was desperate to be showing properly. I remember posting a photo of me at20 weeks saying I was full and about to burst. Needless to say- I looked back at that ten weeks later and felt like an idiot! I understand your anxiousness, just remember that once it starts growing... It won't stop for a long time!
It will come I'm on baby 3 and I've got a small bump now but that's due to 2 year age gaps and not giving my tummy muscles a chance in hell and I'm actually in baggy tops this time, not so desperate to show it!
I'm at 16 weeks and have a tiny bump showing...but sadly for me I'm just looking extra chubby! I started my pregnency about 10 or 15 lbs overweight...and I carry it all in my lower belly, right where the bump is starting. So the bump is just pushing the chub out for now. I keep catching myself in the mirror and have to remind myself "you're pregnant...not just getting chubbier." Haha. I'm looking forward to the days when the bump is a recognizable as a bump!
Re: I just want a bump!
It'll come. Don't worry.
I didn't look pregnant until 20-22 weeks last time. Don't rush it. Enjoy being small now.
