I have my fingers crossed that at least my pre-pregnancy SUPER stretchy flowy skirts are going to start fitting pretty soon after birth but who knows! Til then leggings, yoga pants and no shame. I am dreading my boobs getting even bigger though.. Every time I think it's impossible for them to grow more somehow I'm in the maternity bra section within the week!
I will likely also stick with maxi dresses or skirts ($10-20 at places like Forever 21 and Urban Planet), yoga pants and nursing tanks as others suggested. Annnnnnnd I'm always happiest in good old pajama pants lol
Also, LO won't be big enough that he's grabbing at jewelry too much yet, so if we're going out or I'm hoping to feel 'dressed up', it won't be a bad time to toss on accessories (bracelets, scarf, short earrings, etc.) to take things up a notch when needed. Those can spice up a comfy and basic maxi pretty quick.
After just having a c section and living in Tx I have still found yoga pants and tanks to be most comfortable
Any advise for dressing your C Section? Loosely fitted? I think a PP said something about extra padding... thoughts? (This is for anyone with C Section experience)
I need some advice, I'm expexting my first in exactly 32 days and I can't seem to find anything that makes me look or feel small and pretty! I keep thinking of how much weight I'll need to lose after baby gets here (roughly 80 lbs) and it is overwhelming! And my boobs are now in their own part of the galaxy. I don't think there is a bra size for their ginormousness (?word?)
At this point none of us are going to feel "small"! Pretty? maybe...sometimes. But small??? No! Let's not focus on size but more on health. Those pounds will come off in time. Remember it took 9 months to get to this point so give yourself 9 to get back and don't worry about size. Enjoy your new baby! It's what we are all waiting for!
I also found 2 maxi skirts at kohls that actually fit me now and are long enough...not an easy feat for a tall girl! I will probably wear them a lot this summer as I am getting back in shape. I will probably have to buy a couple pairs of work pants to get me by too. I thought about just wearing maternity pants for awhile, but I am ready to burn them!! I can't wait for pants that don't fall down.
@jessicarae0316 I have the tallness issue with maxi skirts/dresses too... I've accepted that with most my ankles are just going to show, but always get excited when I find something extra long.
@frankengibbs Glad you're ok. Totally understand being more of a lurker lately. I've spent more time hitting "love it" than actually speaking.
I'm going with flowy maxi dresses, skirts, pjs and nursing tanks.
Probably a dumb question, but where would one find a moderately priced maternity tank top? Also, sorry for any worry...I've been in a funk for sure. Getting ready for LO's arrival and allof tthese doctors appointments have left me feeling a bit checked out on TB, but I always lurk! Lol
I've had a lot of luck with H&M; they have spaghetti and racer back tanks in their regular/basics (non maternity) section that are almost long enough to be a dress, even in my 38 week bump! They're 2/$10 and come in tons of colors! I think they run big, but that may vary. Target's tanks have a bit of my belly peeking out the bottom, but the H&M ones are long enough to cover and then some!
I lived in maxi dresses after my last baby. I've been toying around with the idea of getting some of my maternity pants tailored after this one (#2) as it will likely be my last. I have a lot of the full-panel, which feels like overkill post-baby, but I appreciate some amount of waistline flexibility those first few months.

I have to pull them under my boobs and they still get caught under my heels. Forget Capri stretchy pants. I look ridiculous in them.
Is not wearing clothes an option? It's going to be hot and we don't have A/C so unless there are guests at my house I'm planning on skivvies and tank tops. People better call before just popping over though...
