  Congratulations.  It's a beautiful name. 
  
  Just a few things about these boards.  They can get a little cluttered up when lots of ladies post the same thing so the admin has helpfully added a few discussions to the top of the board.  One of them is about the exact topic of this post.  There are also others that let people announce whether they're team green (not finding out gender) team pink (girls), or team blue (boys.)
  
  Also a stranger danger warning.  It may be a good idea to be wary of putting your personal details on your profile and posting them to this site.  For instance just by your screen name and profile picture, I'm guessing you're approximately 26 years old with one child already and your next child is due in November of this year.  With that information alone, I can find your physical location by December of this year just by searching birth certificates.     
  
  On a final note, sex is something that can be determined by the doctor before birth, gender is not.  A lot of us on this board feel that is an important distinction to make.   
  
  I am very happy for you and your family.  Congratulations again on your little girl and I look forward to seeing more of you on the boards.

  Sex is physically what you are, what genitals you have and the like. Gender is how you identify yourself. A doctor can show you the parts but can not tell you what they mean to you. Edit: This is a modern and personal preference. To use the two words interchangeably does not demean anyone I believe. Actions and intent behind words demean people. It doesn't bother me, yet insight as to why it may others is always beneficial I think. This came as an afterthought, and then looking up the etymology behind the words, and then overall the lack of importance to the distinction if the intent is both knowledgable and good. Random edit.

  Try one of the 4 posts that have been pinned to the top of he board. They talk about sex and baby names. Lots of ideas and talk up there.
