hey there, just wanted to give you a heads up if you haven't heard of this book. (Baby bargains)
It was a huge help with figuring out which crib/car seat/stroller/bassinet/etc we wanted for our first.
It gives reviews of almost every product and isn't sponsored by a company so they are impartial.

    Thank you!  I was trying to remember the name of that book (so simple, what is wrong with my brain!), I used it a ton with my first and highly recommend as well.  Was going to see if our library had an undated version just to peruse, but a must for FT parents!
