Re: Symptoms check in May 23rd

  • Well it's still early today to say but so far laying in bed I'm good! Although I did have some brown blood after my second morning trip to the bathroom and no matter how much I read it's normal and I spoke to my Dr about it yesterday I am freaking out and trying to stay calm but this is my first pregnancy and it's freaking me out!!!!! BIG time.

Gtky: I broke my hip this past February. I was walking up my driveway and my feet came right from under me and I fell directly on my left hip. Thank god my hubby was still home. I had to get 3 screws in my hip and was in the hospital for 3 nights. Btw I'm 31 and this was my first broken bone first surgery and first overnight in the hospital (minus when I was born)

  • Still so, so nauseous. I'm waiting for DH to wake up and go get my prescription. Maybe some McD's breakfast too! I can't wait for second tri... Cute bump, reduced nausea, and more energy. Can I just sleep away the next 4-5 weeks??

GTKY: I've never had a broken bone and my only surgeries were my c sections.

Yesterday I was basically symptomless except for failing to fall asleep until 3:00am.

Today, I'm wondering if I have strep throat. I've been fighting this sore throat for a week with honey, warm tea, and lemon. I've been taking Tylenol for the pain. Of course I realized this might be strep on the eve of a long weekend. Just my luck.

GTKY: I broke my arm in 3rd grade falling off the monkey bars.

  • Still nauseous but I'm finding if I take my prenatal as soon as I open my eyes and then lay in bed longer followed by one million saltines before I decide to get out of bed...I feel slightly less nauseous. Small wins!

I've never broken a bone or had surgery of any kind. Leading to my immense fear of the birthing process!

  • I have had the slightest nausea and cramping the last week, but this morning I was in the bathroom for an hour finally after a week of nothing. So, upside both the cramps and blump are gone today!

GTKY: I have not broken any bones, but did tear both of my ACLs in high school. Freshman year basketball and spent my summer recovering, then sophomore year Varsity soccer and spent that summer the same way too.

@saraawlbr I fainted the last time I had a blood draw. I feel you.
  • Good morning!!!

Haven't gotten up but I'm starving so we will see how that goes. Omg my boobs hurt last night. I seriously don't remember them being so bad the last two!

GTKY: Never broken anything and only had my wisdom teeth removed.

  • The bloat is real! Maternity pants today! Comfort prevails! Lol, who am I kidding? I've lived in leggings and yoga pants for the past few weeks.

I've only ever had my tonsils taken out! No broken bones, no other surgeries. I did, however, have a spinal tap in middle school. Worst experience of my life!

  • Super nauseous this morning... My sense of smell is incredible, feel like a bear lol.

GTKY: kidney reflux surgery when I was 4, I don't remember it obviously lol. First one I remember: lithotripsy for kidney stones at 19
  • Started diclegis last night and it's safe to say I feel like I'm high...so groggy and fuzzy! I was still nauseous this morning too (:|

The mood swing happened for the first time last night when I slapped but wanted the punch DH for being slow about making dinner, then I cried lol. Boobs are killing me, weird cramps, insane dreams, bloated, no nausea or sickness but I literally feel pain in my stomach if I wait too long to eat. That about sums me up. For fun I just weighed the girls, DH held them for me while I stood on the scale, up to 9lbs already, my poor back!

I've never broken a bone...as for sugerys closest I've come is scar tissue removal in my left knee after an injury from a fall healed poorly.

No symptoms yet today, thankfully.  I was so crampy last night I had to take some Tylenol.  I slept in until 9am this morning, and it was awesome.

GTKY: No broken bones here.  I had to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed when I was 13.  The buds were all turned weird directions and were keeping my 12 yr molars from coming in correctly.

  • Besides sore boobs, I really don't feel much. I'm constipated though!!! Any suggestions for food to take to help? I don't feel tired, but I can sleep for hours if I want to. I'm 5 weeks 5 days today. I'm slightly irritable and have only really had one hormonal issues ( rush hour traffic, crying and head banging episode).

I've broken both arms twice, sprained numerous times, only had " procedures" on my cervix and colon.
  • Headaches and more headaches are my worst symptoms and I have terrible mood swings. But after TTC for a year I'm honestly just super excited to be pregnant I don't even mind so far. We'll see how I feel when morning sickness hits. ;)

    Never have broken any bones!

Occasional abdominal cramping and an emotional wreck...for no reason other than the hormones. I ended up cancelling plans with my husband to go vegas this weekend for a music festival. I tried to explain I won't be nearly as much fun with the constant crying, plus I'm super tired and can't drink either. Ugh, hopefully second trimester symptoms won't make me such a buzzkill.

Gtky: I've never broken a bone or had surgery fortunately but I was always at the ER getting stitches for some stupid injury as a kid.
  • Bloating is an understatement. My boobs feel really heavy, not as sore as many others note having at this time.  Exhaustion comes and goes, yesterday was brutal.  I was a zombie teaching my students yesterday, I swear. I experienced nausea for the first time yesterday too, but did not throw up and it was pretty mild.  Cramping in my pelvic area when I lay down at night and my body is getting relaxed.  All symptoms are per usual, nothing to be alarmed about, which is good.

GTKY: Never broken any bones but I did have umbilical surgery when I was 9 for a hernia I had when I was born. I also had 4 stitches once on my big toe, when I cut it from stepping onto a piece of glass.
  • Still dealing with a nasty cold. Coughing uncontrollably is bothering me more than any of my pregnancy symptoms right now.

Gtky: I haven't broken any bones, but I was rare and had 6 (yes 6!!!!) wisdom teeth pulled out. I also had 12 (some adult some baby) teeth pulled. So in total I have had 18 teeth removed but still a full smile.

  • Crampy, tired, my boobs are killing me and I've developed this nasty cough. Please immune system don't fail me now!

GTKY- I've broken my arm twice (5 and 7) dislocated my jaw in high school (cheerleading)
I have numerous joint and tendon injuries as well...I beat myself up pretty good in high school and college and coaching.

I am 7w3d and my symptoms generally nauseous (mostly at night), boob soreness that comes and goes, pretty tired, emotional intermittently, and strange feelings in my lower abdomen; they are not cramps but something else.

The last surgery I had was a D&C which aside from my freaking out beforehand, was quite painless. The staff were all wonderful.
  • I am 7w3d and my cramping was less yesterday finally, last night I did take a tylenol because it kicked it right before bed and I was over the nighttime nonsense. So far so good today on the cramping front. My boobs are less sore today, glad someone else mentioned theirs were as well; as a 39yo FTM any lessening of symptoms freaks me out. Up to pee twice and up again early, I think my sleeping in days are gone; I'm on week 3 of waking between 4:45 - 6:00, despite bedtime and how tired I am. A few new breakouts and I was STARVING when I woke up. I think I covered it all!!

GTKY - Too many surgeries to count, one of them twice for shattering my ankle, first guy messed up the surgery so I got to do it again a year later!
  • Yesterday I was so bad I couldn't do anything. I got home from work at 5:30 and went to bed.

My OB told me Thursday that I have to stop taking my preventative migraine medicine because there haven't been any studies, so they don't know if it's on or not :-/ so of course I got a migraine. Had it for three days now, paired with the last two days being the worst MS I've had. Shakey, could barely walk, needed DHs help to get up the stairs!

Feeling betterish this morning, so fingers crossed all I have to deal with today is migraine.

GTKY: I had my tonsils out when I was 22, and the doctor didn't go over post op very well. I didn't do so great, and ended up losing about 17 lbs!!

  • @paige6410 I hate McD but right now that sounds amazing!

Ok back to the question... I am super nauseous, more so than I was with my first. The weird thing is the only thing that will make it go away is to eat. I feel like a cow because I have been eating so much. I just feel like this is so odd.

I have not broken any bones but I have had surgery on my nose, I had a deviated septum (I don't think I spelled that correct).
  • Woke up this morning feeling like I had the flu. :(( I'm staying in bed all day to rest it off.

Only had open heart surgery. Hopefully baby will not be born with same defect me!
  • So exhausted today. I've been feeling incredible but today...i can barely get out of bed. I have also had these crazy dreams! However, my husband is loving my increased sexual appetite. Anyone else unable to keep their hands off their man??

I surprisingly feel totally fine today. I was able to veg out and relax most of the day. Headed to a bachelorette party tonight, hope I can keep it up.

**edit: I gag and dry heave literally everyyyyy time I brush my teeth. Anyone else??

Gtky: had surgery on both of my legs for an athletic injury, not too terrible! Never broken a bone, definitely terrified of child birth!
  • I was so excited because I woke up this morning feeling good, then half an hour later the baby was like lol jk.  Day 8 of all day nausea so that's been awesome.

GTKY: Never had a broken bone or surgery.  Never even had blood drawn until 2 weeks ago.  bubble girl life I guess.

I was hoping that I wouldn't get morning sickness with this pregnancy (I had it bad with my first), but unfortunately it showed up earlier this week. Woohoo. Ready for 2nd Trimester.

I broke my collar bone when I was about 8, I fell off a playground and landed weird.

I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!!!!!! Omg I'm so sleepy....and still with the nausea and sore boobs. Weighed myself today and I've lost 5 lbs. not that it's hurting anything I'm fat anyway.

No broken bones but was in the West Fertilizer Plant explosion in 2013 was hit by something in the back of my left leg that gave me MRSA in the wound, developed a blood clot, and had to have an I&D, home health, wound vac.... Fully recovered now though. Just hoping the blood clot incident won't interfere with this pregnancy.

GTKY: What happened when you got your first broken bone or surgery?

I'm 6w2d, I'm currently having some cramping, no spotting or bleeding. Losing my breath easily and have been noticing bloating on my lower abdomen. I had a gastric sleeve surgery done 9/24/14. Down 94 pounds. I broke both feet when I was only 7.

I am 7w 4d. My low BP and ulcer like symptoms had reached their peak yesterday that I was barely left with courage to drink even water. Lack of emotional strength was so high for the first time... I was regurgitating (not puking) even water for over 2 days and woke up today with a terrible headache. 2nd constipated day :(

Today I was so sad and missed cooking normal food (I am from South India and love to cook!) and did just that! I expected my gut to commit suicide, but the exact opposite happened! :D I now feel so normal (and good) after almost 2 weeks.

My tummy & throat aches are gone, the regurgitating feeling and soreness from the ulcer seems to have disappeared
    I don't feel so bloated!!
My blood pressure feels so normal!! :)
And I have been too elated to sense any boob soreness! :D

I am developing mild lower back pain, but that really doesn't bother me with all my other symptoms cured. A happy ending indeed!! :):)

GTKY-never had  major surgery. Had a laser barrage that was done in 2 hours after diagnosis. It took 1.5 hours to complete. I was a little freaked out to have my first surgery without thinking much about it and I was 19 then. But I am so glad I got it done right then! :)
  • Ugh constant nausea turned into vomiting today. Hoping it's a fluke and isn't going to become the norm!

    No surgeries here!!
  • The nausea all day continues, light headed, dizzy feeling doesn't help matters either. I get these upper left quardon pains that are a killer.

Question: why does brushing your teeth make you guys gag or dry heave? Don't make much sense to me unless you are pushing the tooth brush in your throat. Maybe brish when you are less nauseated? I don't get it, enlighten me please! It happened to my sister too.
  • Just really really ridiculously tired. Otherwise, I'm good.

GTKY. Only surgery was my wisdom teeth taken out. Sucked big time because I got three dry sockets.

  • Some energy today, actually straightened my hair for the first time in two weeks. Otherwise nauseated off and on and clumsy!

GTKY: Never broken a bone (knock on wood), but I've had 4 surgeries/procedures done - adenoidectomy/tubes in ears at 4, wisdom teeth (also got dry sockets!! UGH) at 17, sinus surgery at 25, dermoidectomy from left ovary at 26, and most recently, d&c at 27 :( I've really gotten to know my hospital and nurses!! Lovely people :3

Question: I did a little research and it was conflicting, do pregnant women burn in the sun more easily? I have never burned before (olive skinned) and today I was hanging out at Starbucks, the whole right side of me is burnt to a crisp! Ahh! It's all tingly and sore, I asked my DH if I have sun poisoning ha, he laughed at me :/

I'm almost five weeks. Feeling pretty good - crampy occasionally, a little nausea here and there - but all in all, I feel good! Excited and terrified FTM at 38 1/2.

Gtky- broke my leg in 7th grade.

For everyone: anyone have any gender gut feelings yet? I have a friend who swears she knew her son was a boy as soon as she found out she was pregnant!

Yes some pregnant women burn more easily! I know I do. I'm Irish white but tan normally- when pregnant I burn tan.
