Hi everyone, I am pregnant with my second child and I think I can feel the baby move already. My first child will be 9 years old in June, so I really don't remember every detail of the pregnancy. Thanks & have a great day.! :0)
I'm 11 weeks going on 12 and I've felt my baby move! My mom felt all four of us move at 11 weeks. There's certainly a difference between gas and a baby moving. I know what gas feels like and gas definitely doesn't feel like little flutters coming from my uterus. Me and my boyfriend felt it moving. It is possible!!!(:

No. It's not. Science says so.
Edited to add: It can be your organs shifting or muscles stretching. You're pregnant so obviously things are changing inside. But your baby is entirely too small for you to be able to feel right now, and definitely too small for your bf to feel from the outside. It's not possible.

Keep your science I know what I felt and it was my baby. Thankyou and quit commenting on my post.

This isn't your post. Welcome to the internet. I guess facts offend you, for whatever reason.

My post meaning my comments duh. And nahhhh facts don't offend me. Your comments on my opinions are highly annoying and incorrect.
I agree with CatsAreShady, it's not baby moving that you're feeling. Baby is far too small to be felt. I thought I felt mine at 14 weeks but nope, gas. When you do feel baby you will know and it won't be long away.

Post=/= comments. Duh.
Your opinions are not based on facts. They are false. But if you enjoy wallowing in ignorance, then that's your perogative.
Even if by some chance you were able to feel it, someone external to you would definitely NOT have felt it. You'll know the difference when you actually start feeling movement and you will wonder how you ever thought what you are experiencing now is the baby moving.
It can be an abdominal muscle spasm or gas . I work ob/gyn and have heard of women feeling what they think is movement however on ultrasound It has shown that it's sporadic muscle spasms clear as day . (Similar to your eye twitching ) More commonly it's gas.

Just like the PP were saying it's either gas or muscle spasms. I have felt the same things and then remind myself it's way to early to be feeling my LO yet.
Don't care what y'all "think" I FELT MY BABY MOVE.
Ok.. It's hard to not take things the wrong way on TB sometimes but honestly whether you felt your LO move or not you just said that it doesn't matter what we think. So if that's the case then enjoy it ! Life's too short to stress about the little things. My opinion was just that .... MY opinion and that educated information was from my experience working ob/gyn for the past 6 years. If u think u felt your LO then maybe it's a medical miracle and you should be excited not upset .
My doctor, the woman with 20+ years of medical experience, says it's impossible to feel it at this point. She is educated and knows this stuff so this is the correct information. Unless you are a doctor, a doctor knows more about medicine than you do. That's why they're paid to be doctors and we aren't.
Trust me it IS gas but you WILL feel your baby move soon!
It's getting a little heated here but just wanted to say: I am newly pregnant with my second as well (yay) but even in the years I was NOT pregnant after birthing my first I STILL somehow felt my baby moving inside me. This was a totally emotional thing, not an actual thing obviously, my whole body just remembers it so vividly, you know what I mean? I am so excited to feel it again!
About me: Daughter turns 4 in Feb 2016... second baby due in mid-Jan 2016!
@Francookie I felt the same strange little flutters after my first was born as well. It was very strange. I definitely wasn't pregnant at the time (7 years between my girls).

Yes!! I felt phantom kicks after DS was born and they were the weirdest thing ever.
Oh dear. Someone is trolling. For the record, anyone can post on any public thread at any time so try again with your 'get off ma thread' nonsense. Why don't you call your ob and yell at them when they tell you the same thing.
Your baby could fit in a shot glass right now, there is no way you are feeling kicks yet.
I had my 12 week scan today and the baby was moving LIKE CRAZY but I didn't feel a thing. When I asked the tech why you don't feel til later she said "Because the baby is so tiny!" and laughed. You ARE NOT feeling your baby yet. It's wishful thinking, we all want some sign that the baby is ok but I'm sorry, it just doesn't exist yet. Get an at home doppler and relax.
I am 12 weeks with baby #2 and felt it move at 11w2d while laying on my stomach. I know it's early, but it's possible. All the people talking about science are just skeptical since they haven't felt their baby.

I think my eyes just rolled out my head. I felt both of my babies -- starting at 18 weeks. Anything prior to that was gas or a muscle spasm.

Or maybe they're talking about science because they understand when something is physically impossible and they're not confusing gas with wishful thinking.....
Baby is entirely too small to feel at 11 weeks. Your uterus isn't even outside of the pelvic bone yet. Impossible for someone else to feel. It's a proven science based fact that you cannot feel baby move until later. I thought I felt my baby move around 15 weeks. Had an ultrasound at almost 17 weeks and he was moving all over and I couldn't feel a thing! I'm 34 weeks now and can vividly remember when I felt him move and it was around 22 weeks.
So many scientists and doctors on this board. Good thing you all got your degrees prior to getting pregnant!
You're googling everything, just like the rest of us, meaning you're presenting opninions, just like the rest of us.
Do you believe that the world is round? A scientist told us it is and we all believe that, even though we aren't all scientists. It's a fact, not an opinion.
Just like scientists and doctors tell us we can't feel a baby move at 11 weeks. It's a fact and you don't need to be a doctor or scientist to understand it, you just need a bit of common sense.

Yep. I did get my doctorate before getting pregnant. And nope, no one is feeling baby move when it's 11 weeks. Sorry. It's just not happening. Not trying to be mean it's just factual information. But If everyone wants to keep pretending they feel their baby then that's their decision. Just wish we could move past the SS vs. science debate. Science wins. Every time.
