June 2015 Moms

I apologize if this had been posted before

what is in your (also dad and baby) hospital bag? And for you ladies that have already welcomed your bundles of joy, what did you pack that you now wish you would have left home or you should have taken? I am being induced on the 4th and have been so busy I have completely forgotten to pack a bag until DH mentioned it this morning. I feel like I don't have enough time for everything in the day or until the baby is born for that matter, that needs to be done.

Thank you ladies I appreciate it and again I apologize if this is a repeat post. I tried to search the board first but all it brought up was "I packed my bag" "if you don't like HOSPITAL underwear" but nothing about what was in your bags.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

There was a discussion about this on the May board if that's helpful! No advice here, but I'll be using my bag this weekend. I'll come back and update what I used :)
  • Loading the player...
  • for labor....socks, nightgown, and phone charger, socks
for daddy....shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, tooth brush/paste, deoderant, quarters for vending machine, camera/video
after labor....nightgown, 2 pairs of underwear, socks, nursing bra and pads, slippers?, tooth brush/paste, deoderant, hair brush, shamp/cond/body wash, pony ties, eye liner and mascara (incase u care if u look good for pics), lotion, going home outfit N chapstick
for baby.......going home outfit, receiving blanket, baby nail clippers( so he doesnt scratch himself) and an installed car seat.

thats just a list.....pick through it if u want...
  • oh yeah....and your baby baby book if youve gotten one (for prints of your babys feet) :)
  • Along with clothes/slippers/ect (mentioned above) I packed two rolls of soft toilet paper because I'm going to be sore and not wanting to use thin/hard toilet paper from the hospital, extra batteries for the camera, and I have my essential oils.
  • My own towel, ural to neutralise my pee incase I tear, my own pain relief incase nurses take ages, pillow. We have also packed a guest book, we used it at our baby shower and are hopin. To use it at the hospital for people meeting baby the first time.. I'm hoping that in the end I'll make a photobook up with the gift that the person bought, a photo of baby & them and then the messages, dates and times that they got to meet baby. I think it'll be a nice keepsake in years to come
  • Here's "the post". It's a funny read but it also has everything you could possibly think of. Just looked at it myself yesterday when packing my bag.

My husband found this photo. I'll be using it :)
  • Shower shoes/flip flops! The shower may look clean, but if you were to use a blue light it would not be a pretty scene X_X
