I don't mind the bump touching past month 5 but before that do not touch my jiggly belly or attempt to pull my shirt up to see (my sister) it's not quite a bump yet and you're just hugging my rolls
I'm tall so my upper belly pokes out early and people are constantly patting my lunch. It's freaking awkward!
My UO and I'm probably risking my nice 'the bump' poster status...put down the mf'ing doppler. Seriously, step away. Listen to your body. You are not a nurse or midwife or OB. and your baby is probably sick of it too.
@BrooklynBroussard i agree on the pictures. I don't mind kids all up in my feed but when one poster dominates i get so irritated. Same with food, vacations, and dear god selfies! Have some self control.
This may be way UO... but I don't like when people post 3+ pictures of their baby every day. I mean I get that you love your baby, and she is gorgeous, but I ended up deleting my Instagram in a desperate attempt to rid myself of baby pictures. I don't have a facebook, but I'm sure those who do go through the same thing. Also, when people hashtag the photos with the baby's full name. Are you attempting to make your baby famous? It seems inconsiderate to those following you. I believe being considerate is the fabric of our society.
Another UO.. . I am not super excited about people who attract drama joining our month. It often seems these people just cannot let it go if someone offends them or disagrees with them, and that seems to attract all sorts of drama. I feel like our group can have real discussions without hurt feelings or name calling, and I'm afraid this is the end of that.
It's only the end of it if we let it. Choose to ignore the unnecessary drama and keep the good stuff going
I can't stand when people comment on everything you eat because you're pregnant. Last night we went out with friends and after I ordered, two of them were like "Ohhhh I wonder if they can tell who the pregnant one is LOL". Or "Is someone having a craving?!" Like shut up. Yes, I'm pregnant and if I want the cheese fries, I'm going to order the damn cheese fries. I'd probably order them if I wasn't pregnant too. Just let me eat!
This. Yesterday we had a ice cream party for the months birthday people and the CEO came up to me to remind me that I'm only allowed 1 ice cream. WTF? He thought he was being funny but geez!
UO: I hate cutesie stuff for baby boys, spexially in the bedding department. I get they are baby's and I get that the norm is pastels but damn it what's w all the cute pastels for boys I'm looking for deep colors that are not brown everything boy is brown mb a deep blue perfect great but that's about it ....I want my son I deep boy colors! Reds blue green and even gray is hard to find !!!
My UO is about pop culture references. I do not get them. I have never seen these movies or shows or musicians everyone in the world seems to have gotten together and watched without me. I was too busy watching reruns of Roseanne. So when a professor compares a lesson plan to a Harry Potter/Game of Thrones/Dr. Who/Lady Gaga/Lord of the Rings/Rhianna/Housewives/Taylor Swift situation, I'm confused. Is it supposed to be a given that everyone keeps up with the times? Some of us are still stuck in the 80s/90s with no signs of progression, thank you very much.
I am glad that there is not as much drama and snark on our board but part of me misses it. Not being involved in it but it was like a good trashy magazine to read.
My unpopular opinion...having baby immunized. No thanks. I wasn't after the first year of my life and I'm very healthy. The shit in vaccines is disgusting and questionable to say the very least. As for when my child starts school, I'll just need a waiver for "religious" beliefs (gotta love the South). If you don't agree...you have no reason to worry right? Your kid was vaccined and it "works".

Actually, we do have reason to worry because the entire reason vaccines work as well as they do is because of herd immunity, which very likely has protected you throughout your life. Vaccines dont just protect those who get them, they also prevent the disease from spreading and thus getting to people that arent vaccinated. If, however, vaccination numbers drop a lot, herd immunisation will be gone and the diseases will have free reign again, which means the diseases will get to people that cant get the vaccines because of medical or age-related reasons.
It's a personal decision like circumcision. I don't agree with vaccinating or circumcision. And I respect my body and my child's. the same reason I eat healthy, exercise and take care of myself. To each their own

When people don't vaccinate their children, they increase the risk for people in the population who can't be vaccinated, such as infants under age 1, children and adults with weak immune systems and people with cancer.
Right now, what we're seeing a resurgence of, besides measles, is whooping cough, which is especially deadly in infants who are too young to be vaccinated. So, you are not only putting your own children at risk but potentially putting others in the community at risk. Specifically those with compromised immune systems.
I don't get sick because I eat very healthy I don't drink and I exercise. My kid won't be in daycare either because they're like a petri dish for diseases. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.
That is something you cannot liken to circumcision, which is agreeably totally a personal decision and your own to make. Choosing not to vaccinate your child does not only affect you and your child but potentially everyone. It is really a public safety issue. Please do more research before making this choice.
Lol at least she chose the right board to share it. Thanks for not reporting us for disagreeing with you @DeeGreer
I will give everyone here a cookie if you can get through the rest of this without anyone reporting anyone else.
Challenge accepted! Cmon guys, lets get our cookies!
Honestly I've never understood the reporting thing. Just because you have a different opinion doesnt mean you need to be banned.. Bit immature if you ask me.

A lot of people seem to think it is the same as a dislike button. I completely agree with you.
This discussion on vaccination makes me think of Amy Schumer and her bit against anti-vaxxers. It's a whole thing about dog moms and "pawtism", absolutely ridiculous.
My UO: I don't think she's funny! Just lewd. I cannot stand her show or standup routine.
Buying a Canon or a Nikon doesn't make you a professional photographer. It means you own a nice camera.
I've seen some non-professionals with a knack for photography take some awesome shots in their iPhones! And of course, you can still take crap photos with a $1,000 DSLR . . .

THIS. It annoys me to no end when people buy a semi-nice (not even a true professional camera) camera and all of a sudden they're a professional photographer. My SIL bought a semi-pro camera, and now she thinks that she's a pro. It's so annoying! She says that I won't have to hire a photographer for my baby photos, that she's going to do them. Ummmm... If you would like to take some photos I'm okay with that, but I will still hire a true professional to take my baby's photos.
Seriously...I'm like the opposite. I have a decent Canon DSLR just because I wanted a camera that took nice photos when I went to races, basic family/friends pics, etc. I had a friend who asked if I would take her engagment pics so she wouldn't have to pay someone a bunch of money to do it and the very idea made me super uncomfortable. I assured her if she couldn't find anyone she could afford that I would do my best, but that it's worth paying for because photography is an art all on its own....she luckily listened and found a great local photographer who did all her wedding-related photos and did an AWESOME job. I will be the first to throw out a disclaimer - "I'm not a professional, yo!"
I am, however, doing another friends boudoir pics, but that's only because only her future hubby will see them and she is too modest to pose/dress (undress?) like that in front of a stranger, haha!
My UO I can't stand women who go on and on and on constantly about their pregnancy when you get together with them. And then when they whine about their friends avoiding them it's like "duh. No one wants to hear you talk constantly about the same thing for nine months without end." And the pregnancy whining that goes with that..... omg don't get me started. I'm pregnant and don't feel the need to be obsessive or annoying about it. Not even with my first.
OMG! All of this yes!!! I am kind of on the converse of this. I hate when people who are just finding out that I'm pregnant, want me to get super excited and squeeze and jump around with them. Dude, I did all that like 5 months ago when I found out, but October is a ways away and I'm just trying to live my life everyday. So...chill.
I hate it when the farms I go to for work have uncontrollable cat population problems. I get that you are running a dairy farm but for gosh sakes at least feed your cats if you won't spay and neuter them. If you are a dairy farmer I bet you could even castrate your male kittens yourself. The farm I was at yesterday has approx. 50 adult cats and currently 6 different litters of kittens. I brought two kittens home with me last night. This farm in particular is tired of having so many cats around that they have stopped feeding them. Like that will make them all find no homes when you live in the middle of no where? No.
I have a question and thought this would be better than starting a new thread to ask. Do we have an Anatomy Scan Thread started yet for people to post those photos if they want? I searched and didn't see one (because yes I use the search function). Thought it would be nice as I assume as more come up we'll have a lot of threads announcing or sharing photos. Or maybe this is just dumb and that's why I haven't seen hardly any!

You're comparing apples to oranges.
You're harming many, many others by your choice not to vaccinate. I think you need to brush up on your facts and research, because all the reasons not to vaccinate are no longer valid. There is zero link between autism and vaccinating your child.
Sincerely, the raging wife who's husband could DIE because he has an immune disorder and CANNOT be vaccinated, all because individuals like you don't know all the facts.

Start s thread. I have my AS tomorrow so I'd be happy to share a pic. I'd rather see one thread going for that than 20 separate ones.
I'm not going to report anyone for a difference of opinion. I'm not a kid and honestly couldn't give two shits about what anyone else's opinion is on how I raise MY child. I don't berate anyone for feeding their kids fast food. I'm sorry your husband is so ill though. That's really unfortunate.

My UO is I've been obessed with watching the show "gypsy sisters" on Hulu. I think it's a tlc show but it is just so country ratchet idk why I love it so much! Lol
The "TEAM GREEN" sticky post at the top of the board is for those of us waiting until birth to find out the sex of the baby, not for people who plan to find out, but haven't had the anatomy scan yet.

Thanks. But he's not "so ill", but he can become that ill by coming into contact with someone too naive to realize that not vaccinating their child can kill others.
How would you feel if your infant contracted measles from an unvaccinated child while in the waiting room at the doctors office?
Fast food =\= vaccinations. Once again apples to oranges. Your comparisons make me believe you are very naive to the science behind your statement.

That felt good...
