Hmm. This took a minute! I am good at my job (teaching), and I think I am good at home/interior design. My husband owns his own business building custom homes and outdoor living packages, and I design them if his clients don't come with their own (which is common in our region).
I've always been pretty good at drawing, and having recently figured out how to use a tablet reawakened it.
My first project where I tried that was recently illustrating a children's book for a school project and I'm seriously considering publishing it but I wanna make some edits first.
And I'm a pretty decent hobbyist photographer. I took this of some incense. Facebook compresses things, but whatever.
Other than that, um, eating. Very good at that. I seriously could have had a promising career as a competitive eater.

I'm pretty mediocre/above mediocre in a lot of things, but I'm realllllllly good at loving these two chunk nuggets. This is them in their Halloween costumes that I just happened to have on hand (coughcough) when we had family pictures taken
Ok this has nothing to do with hobbies but I also have a black and fawn pug (I tried to tell you in a different thread but you prob didn't see) and I think they're the bomb.
I'm Mobil and my phone won't let me share pictures but I love to bake and cook and eat all the things.. And I play piano.. And draw.. I am pretty good at gardening and knitting and crotchet And the DH and I love some target practice! With bows or any type of guns
I also draw......but I feel way to self conscious right now to post anything.
......
But H and I were discussing nurseries and I mentioned that themes were kinda limited and he was all "You should do LoL themed nursery art" and I was like "We're not doing a LoL nursery theme" but dammit now that I think about it it could really be super cute and I started sketching out LoL champs in idea of doing a whole alphabet series, so maybe once I finish one of them I'll post it?

OMG a LoL nursery would be epic!!! You have to post those.

Building things! DH and I are big DIY people. Working on a cabana for our pool. Need an updated pic but here was the beginning. I need to finish sewing all the curtains. We wanted it after we realized we can have sexy out there because our neighbors bedroom window over looks the pool.
When I graduated, my BA thesis advisor said it was 'obvious' that I have a 'natural talent for English linguistics' and all the other profs were all, "*nod nod* Yes, quite, well said", and I was all, "Aw, you guise!". It was pretty sweet.
I'm also good at cooking and I've become a very decent loom knitter (can't knit using needles to safe my life, though). I completely freestyled the baby cardigan below, of which I'm very proud. It's not for any baby in particular, though I do of course hope we'll have a LO to wear it one day. And if not, I'm totally at that age when all my friends and cousins start having babies, so I'm sure it'll find a good home. It was mostly just me seeing if I could do it and I didn't want to try with an adult-sized project.
@xKBERx I wish I could sew like that! I started a course (where you have to send pieces in and stuff) but I stranded before I even got through the basics of drawing patterns (mostly because I'm a major procrastinator).
The one thing I'm truly good at is writing. Not fiction though, I guess my imagination is rather limited. I used to be a journalist. (Also, if you think my writing stinks and I'm talking BS, blame it on my English. It's not my mother tongue.)
I'm also good at telling you what time it is without looking at my watch. I always know, with a five minute margin. And I rule at boardgames.
This is such a great thread. We have so many unique, talented ladies on the board!
I've mentioned before that I bake. Specifically, cheesecakes (sweet & savory) and I also decorate cookies. Here are some photos: (I am sorry in advance that these are huge, life-size photos... pulled them over from my phone )
Peanut Butter Buckeye Cheesecake (for when Ohio State was in the Sugar Bowl
My all time favorte, Salted Caramel
My all time favorite savory, Loaded Baked Potato Cheescake
Sound of Music Cookies (my brother was directing the musical where he teaches English)
I love seeing all of this! I want to eat your cakes on the tables you've made! Somehow that sounds very wrong, lol. I enjoy refinishing furniture but haven't done much.
I'm a musician. I play the flute very well. Most instruments well, actually.
My most useful talent over the past few years has been couponing. I have a stockpile of non-perishables, HBAs, and cleaners. I'm not too crazy, I have a job, 16 hour weekly commute, and DS so my time is limited but our food and household supply budget (eating primary organic and fresh) for the three of us for a month is equal to my ILs budget for a week. I definitely have a knack for finding great deals on things we use/need. I really want a deep freezer. DH has promised me one when we move to our next house

@ecmb yay another pug mom on here (sorry I didn't see before)! We've met a lot of other people that have 2 pugs, but never one that has one fawn/one black one. Aren't they the best?!
Whoa, I'm pretty sure my husband SENSED that I read these words and is now thinking about how to convince me to make a LoL nursery (I'm anti-theme in general). Please post the images when you're ready!
I also draw......but I feel way to self conscious right now to post anything.

DS' nursery was themed by the prior owners of the house. It had an apple orchard mural with flowers and a fence. One corner was a huge apple tree. I wasn't a huge fan of apple orchards but the artistry was gorgeous so we kept it. Because we had cats, we put in a screen door. We didn't want the cats to get in and didn't want his bedroom door closed. The screen door made it look like his room was a beautiful field right off the house. I wish I knew where I had pictures. It was amazing!
I sort of dabble in everything; but my favorite is crocheting. I also just dabbled in painting for the first time yesterday!
Do you sell these little creatures on Etsy? If not, you should!
I do have an etsy store. But promoting it without spending money has been impossible. I'm working on writing patterns and selling the pattern, so then I'm not having to worry about supply and demand.
I keep returning to this thread for all the amazing food pictures. There's no way I could ever come close to the skill you ladies demonstrated, but just knowing it's out there brings me a little peace...
