If one can't drive in snow, one should not live in Michigan.

Like, holycrap.

Momentum.  What is, that thing you need to have some of to make it up a slippery hill.  Don't slow down, have you not heard of gravity?  You will not make it up said hill without aforementioned momentum.  TYVM.

  • Amen!!  I live 2 miles from my office and it took me about 45 minutes to get to work this morning.  I walked from my parking space to the office in 10.  There is something not right about that!

  • I hear ya....I go thru the same thing in Wisconsin here! It's like EVERY winter people have to re-learn to drive in the snow! Some NEVER learn!
  • Same goes for Ohio as well. People are so bad.

  • Good thing I live in the south b/c I sure can't drive in the snow!
  • Sam - yes but if you were to live someplace snowy, I know you'd figure it out.  Some of these people are just scary!
  • I know this sounds mean, but on snow days, it's fun to count how many people are in the ditch and I get even more points if I actually see a spin out in front of me..... That is a great start to my day!
  • butterbeans, we need to meet up in AnnArbor for drinkies.  But only if you bring your 'vette.  rawr.
  • Speaking of snow and the vette - you'll have to wait until summer then. DH would not allow me to take it out on these roads (not because of my driving of course)...lol.

Just let me know when and where and I will be there!

  • LOL. Or Maine.

I will say though, there is a light on a hill right before my parking garage, and I got stuck there b/c I hit a red light last week. Then yesterday I slid through the red light and decided rather than try to stop to pop it in first and keep momentum going.

I now have a phobia. It's going to be a long winter.

  • Or in MN too.  Or even better - if you are afraid to drive in the snow, DON'T GO OUT ON THE FREEWAY IN RUSH HOUR AND DRIVE IN THE LEFT LANE!!

     It is so scary.

  • ditto New England-not only is there mass panic over impending storms-then these people go out and snarl up the roads with their stupidity.  Oh, and after it's all clear...you hear all about how they are "hardy New Englanders" and how much they "love the snow".  Boo on you, dummies.
