What are you drinking?

Re: What are you drinking?

  • I'm drinking about 2.5L of water per day - I can't quench the thirst! Then a chocolate milk here and there. Which is weird because i'm lactose intolerant but all I can think about is chocolate milk and so far it's going down well. Peppermint tea has been my choice warm drink since my BFP.

  • Hot green tea or coconut chai (decaf) and almond milk. I'm not a huge water drinker but I've been kinda forcing myself to drink ice water and I'm starting to like it :) I've been juicing again at home too and my fave right now is beet, Apple, and carrot.

  • I was trying not to drink coffee. But I had to today because I haven't gone to the bathroom in days. It also made my ms go away, so double bonus. I usually drink a G2 if I throw up, and also tons to water with lemon or lime

Does anyone have advice as to which teas are better/worse during pregnancy?
I don't consider myself a coffee addict but definitely miss it already, just knowing I can't have it!! :)

There is a whole post on teas ;)

I am a big water drinker so nothing new there. I have a cup of herbal tea every now and then. I am also drinking coconut flavoured almond milk once in a while. Once in a blue moon I'll have a cup of black decaf. I can't even believe that I drink coffee for the taste now. I must really be an adult! ;)
  • Also a huge La Croix fan. Drinking tons of these and it seems to help with the nausea
  • Hi, my name is Carly and I'm a soda addict. Luckily I took caffine out of my diet years ago.
I'm drinking more water than I used to, but I drink sprite at work and when I get home it's gaterade
I'm horrible. I'm trying to get this fixed... Water is just so.......plain....

Try the LemonBerry water from Sonic! So good! Water with lemon and strawberries.

Ginger tea has saved me this week! I add some local honey to it to help with my allergies.  TONS of water and unsweet tea occasoinally
  • Water, coffee, lacroix, and kombucha are my go-to's. When I'm missing booze I mix half a Lacroix with half a kombucha and pretend it's a cocktail.
  • I don't drink milk, never have, but when I'm pregnant I totally crave chocolate milk!!
  • I was drinking 6 coffees a day (I know it's really bad) I cut back to 1-2 a day when we started trying and then read that coffee can cause miscarriages so I stick to 1 weak one every second day and green tea if I'm craving a coffee. I also gave up alcohol a month before we started trying, and not having a social drink has been the hardest! I live in Australia and we are big drinkers haha. I now have boring soda water and lime which makes it very noticeable to my friends so I don't think they will be shocked when we announce that we are expecting

Water, lemon water, lime water, I probably end up around 60-80 oz a day. Everything else makes me want to throw up :( Even unsweetened tea, my fav....and I REALLY miss my gin & tonics!!

  • Decaf in the morning, water all day. I put my seltzer in my coozie and pretend it's beer. I might sound like a drunk, but I haven't gone 9 months without drinking since I was 17... (I played flip cup with water at our friends party this weekend.) Now if only I didn't wake up every morning feeling like I have a vicious hangover!

1 cup of coffee in the morning... I can't take the headache without it and then water or seltzer all day long

I'm in the same boat with the coffee. I allow myself one cup (or one alternative espresso drink) a day, keeping my caffeine intake between 75 - 200 mg. Whenever I try to kick coffee entirely I get a week-long headache and feel like I can't wake up.

For water, I'm drinking at least 1.5 - 2 Litres of plain carbonated water a day, with half a lemon thrown in for flavour. I buy San Pellegrino and Perrier by the case, depending on which is cheaper...Costco has become my new BFF!
  • I get one fancy "coffee" drink or of the machine at work, then water and chamomile - mint tea for the rest of the day. Oh, and a small glass of milk with dinner.

The coffee thing at work is like those automatic coffee machines at hospitals and stuff, that does hot chocolate, French Vanilla, this like that. So not really coffee, mostly sugar.

  • I have 1 cup of coffee in the morning and water with lemon and grated ginger, coconut water, plain water.
  • Pineapple juice for me , I crave it all day long ! I try not to drink so much and have a couple glasses a day , I need to increase my water intake that's for sure
  • Sparkling Water! ...obsessed with it...

I have 1 cup of Indian chai in the morning, freshly squeezed OJ, one before lunch and one in the late evening. And plenty of cold water, something like 3 liters a day.
I love smoothies, but I have tough time stomaching even orange juice.
  • I've been having my usual can of diet coke in the afternoon and then water the rest of the day :)
