I registered at 3 - Amazon, Target and Walmart. My reasons: baby stores are way overpriced, the closest ones are nearly an hour away, and a lot of people I know love to shop online instead of go to the stores. For those who like shopping in store, we set up Target and Walmart registries. I registered for different things on all 3, but there were a few similar items (like diapers and wipes at both Walmart and target.)
My main focus was to give people a chance to go to the store and buy something rather than be like "Oh crap!" At the last minute and have to either drive the hour somewhere or get me a gift card to a store that's also an hour away for me... Not to mention if I want to take something back, I would have to drive that hour too!
