I love writing. The only problem i have is i get toooo many ideas at once and my brain has to dump them.
Sometimes i am left with something good that i can go on, though mostly it's mind junk lol
And that's so awesome about your sister! I write a lot of dark stuff. Even my one novel i am working on is a bit darker.
  • I don't even know what the dh and other ones u said are? I've been trying to figure it out on almost every post as nearly everyone says them but the only ones I've worked out are u/s and mil which I think Is mother in law, please someone help me with the rest b4 I go insane lol
  • DH is darling or darn husband lol

You are awesome! I actually am going to post on another thread called TB acronyms. I think.
But DH is darling husband, when i got on here o thought it meant designated husband.
DD has 3 meanings and 2 of them are darling daughter designated driver and j think the 3rd meaning has something to do with a doula?
  • Or when your boss has never been pregnant and has no sympathy towards what you're going through and thinks you can work at 16 hour shift with no problem and be back to work at 6am the next day.

I'm super crabby and tired today lol
  • My UO - I think Marijuana should be legalized and alcohol should be more regulated.

Oh and Camel Toes should be illegal!

Me TOO!!! I haven't even smoked pot in ages… And I don't drink either, but I'm old and boring now.

ANOTHER UO: I think that they should lower the age at which you can drink to 18 and raise the age at which you can drive to 21
My mom says that all the time!! Because early years drinking is irresponsible and early driving is overly responsible,
I wasn't allowed to get my license till I was 19 and I did far better at it than I was at 18 because my parents knew I understood I had a deadly weapon in my hands. Add to that my parents who bar tend at a catering hall on occasion, have the firm belief if you aren't sober enough to drive, (have had more than 1 drink and it had to be 3 hours ago) and no one in your group was sober, you can call for a ride, with a 24 hour leeway before you got punished for being irresponsible for not getting a ride situated before going to the bar. To this day (pre and post pregnancy) I don't drink. Before pregnancy I would have one every few months, but it took 1 time of the DD being irresponsible enough to have 1 too many to drive for me to go OK I can't trust anyone else's but my own actions. I also had my phone on Friday and Saturday night and all of my friends and brothers friends knew once they were 21 I will pick you up, whether I'm out or home sleeping do not attempt to drive.

My uo is I don't think timeout works for toddlers, my sister does it, and it completely breaks my heart and I'm like are you kidding me she doesn't get it, you just putting her in her room with the door closed, just makes her freak. Redirection and adult conversations make her behave.
  • Just to preface... I am a stay at home mom of two.

My UO is that I hate when other stay at home moms say the ever popular, "being a stay at home mom is the hardest job in the world." Seriously? If staying at home is hard, you shouldn't be doing it. If you're not having fun and feeling fulfilled, your kids can probably feel your resentment. Some moms go to work for 12 hour shifts then come home to the same mess that you had all of nap time to clean up. Yes, it can be emotionally difficult to spend every waking moment with a two year old, but it is by no means the hardest job!

Expecially if they have one kid and a nanny...those are the worst.
I'm 90% sure working 2 full time jobs and going to college full time was the hardest job I've ever done
  • My uo is that I feel no sympathy for weight-related diseases. I do understand that some people have medical conditions causing them to be overweight. I'm not talking about them AT ALL. I'm specifically talking about my mother in law, who has a plethora of ailments, which she complains about constantly. But for me it's like, you weigh over 300 pounds - of course your back is going to hurt. But all she eats is simple sugars, and refuses to educate herself on what is actually "healthy". I'm sorry, I will not sympathize with you if you have the power to change the situation.
I was overweight, and took medications, that now I don't have to take because I changed my lifestyle. It was hard as hell, but it can be done.

Totally with you on this one. My sister has a medical condition which causes her to gain weight (a form of dwarfism which they took her off medication not realizing she still needs it) and she doesn't even play the victim card with that. She's been doing weight watchers, and has lost a ton of weight, till they can get approval on an extremely expensive medication that she needs in order to function properly. I'm over weight from endometriosis and pizza (believe it or not my chub is not all chub, it's called scar tissue ;) ) but I accept my weight, I keep it below where medical issues will happen, and eat healthy, but no matter what I do I'm going to have this issue and my weight goes up and down 20 pounds depending on what time of the month it is, while my size is pretty stead. Lucky me pregnancy is helping BIG TIME. One of my lower favorite benefits, favorite being mommy, second being 1/2 the pain I normally deal with monthly, and third can I say being a mommy again.

Another fun UO for me. I have a guy willing to be a stay at home dad, he's great with kids, so am I, but I love my job and don't want to give up my career path, if he's willing to stay home with the baby, and I can drive the 9 minutes from the office home on lunch, or have him bring LO to the office to spend time with me. He's not freeloading he just is able to do his business on the side, and it looks like his invention is finally going to take off so he can work while baby naps or after I get home. I feel really blessed to have someone who wants all of my dreams come true, and my experience as a mom to be what I want it to be. It's not that I don't want to stay home with my child but giving up my life COMPLETELY to get my undergrad and masters, I think I deserve to work in a field I love at least until we can reassess when we have #2 if I want to go part time or do consulting.. I doubt it thought because I love my boss to the point I took the job and moved 900 miles from home, without relocation because I thought it was the best place for me instead of looking for something offering help.

I have a UO that will probably make some people throw flaming arrows at me BUT... I can't stand when people have an excessive amount of children and are pregnant yet again! I work in the medical field so perhaps this is why but, only have the number of kids you can honestly handle! This is not the time to be having 15+ children. Birth control was made for a reason!

Also, my hubby is very important to me And I can't stand loud chewers or crinkly granola bar/chip bag wrappers!!!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! I work ...well on the border...and let me tell you HUGE ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and the chewing ...ugh discusting and irritating !

  • I hate when people post the same damn selfie shot every other day! Same hair, same angle, same stupid duck lips... It's not interesting!!! I also hate when people hashtag their annoying lifestyle choices constantly... #vegan #glutenfree #CrossFitLife #MyHusbandIsBetterThanYours... You know what? #IDONTCARE!!!

This is exactly why I abandoned Facebook & Instagram!!! LOL
  • Ok 1 more. I hate when people call me/themselves mean girls. The first time I saw it I thought ok.. are you in high school (I do love the movie lol). We are all adults here, and I'm far from a complaining dramatic teenager. I graduated to opinionated "bitch" at some point between 16 and 22.

This made me lol! I am a bitch. Period. I have zero issues admitting it. It took years of being trampled on...lied to and hurt but i found my knack. I am a proud bitch. :)

Baby on Board signs are annoy me. Half the time I see old people, teens and a group of guys driving the cars that have these posted!

"You know I was going to purposefully crash into your car then run and get charged with reckless abandonment, but wait there's a baby on board sign. Yikes, I better not crash into you!"
    ...... Said no one ever!

For what its worth, I saw a post on Fb just recently- saying those signs are actually to let first responders know there is annoccuoant in the vehicle that may be still buckled or a baby may have been thrown from the vehicle in an accident- so it gives them a heads up that they should search the area.
I haven't done any fact checking on that yet but it makes sense.
Prior to seeing that post tho, I had the same thought tho. Lol

Now I don't have children yet..but I can't stand it on Facebook when people post 5 pictures a day of their kid(s), or even 1-2 pictures everyday for that matter. The pictures are so redundant, they might as well be posting the same damn picture over and over again. Sure, I love my friends and family, and seeing their LO grow up, and the special moments I'm not there to experience...but my goodness, I don't need to see every day and moment of your kids life. I've unsubscribed to most of my friends posts who are doing this because it drives me crazy!!

YASSS!!!!! Why must you put 1000 hashtags under your photo? #MyHusbandIsBetterThanYours is the worst. We have become a society of over sharers.
