Appt was Tuesday, I'm 1cm and 50%. Scheduled my first weekly appt... Yesterday I lost my mucus plug. Called my Ob, they said that usually indicates baby will be here within 2 weeks... Excited and nervous!
37 weeks today.. had an apt on Monday. Cervix still "long and closed". I know that doesn't really mean much, but.... I'm getting impatient already. Would be nice to know things are starting to get ready...
Nothing much going on for me and this is baby #4! 37 wks today, cervix closed and posterior. She can feel the head but it is not low in the pelvis. :-w
Just had 36 week appt, got swabbed; am I the only one who found it kinda painful/unpleasant? I requested to cervical check, dr wasn't pleased, but hubby is out of country and there's no labor signs. The swab kinda sucked, and I'm not usually very sensitive there, hoping it was a fluke and not going to be an issue when there's something much larger going on down there. Can't believe it's almost the end!
Just had my appt, 34+2. HR was good, BP was good, pretty uneventful. The only downside is that my OB said I may have to consider another hospital for an early induction. My first choice is extremely busy and she's had a hard time lately getting inductions scheduled. Since I had a precipitous labor previously, that moves me up the list but she wanted me to think about my options. I'm glad she brought it up.
36.2 appt this am. BP still high so induction is set for one week from today. I'm at 3cm and very effaced and his head is very low. Maybe he will come on his own... Either way, I can't wait to meet him!
36+3 .. Closed/50/head applied. So happy. Need that baby to stay in there for at least 3 more weeks. Gained 3 lbs in the last week. Whatever..got a Big Mac on the way home.
TTC: 1/2014
BFP: 9/24
EDD: 6/8/2015
Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
I had my 37 week appt today-all is, once again, boring and normal. Still dilated 1cm, but found out I'm 80% effaced. Baby's heart rate was perfect, and and the doc said everything is measuring 'textbook'. I asked my OB about what she thought of the size/weight of the baby and she said by feeling my stomach that unless I am hiding her well, she'll probably be no more than 8 lbs at most at birth. Ok then. But, we all know how the weight guessing game goes...watch, my baby will be 10+ lbs or something. LOL.
I also tested negative for GBS, so that's a plus!
Side note: my boss just sauntered in the office from his dr. appointment. Apparently he has strep throat and is on anti-biotics. Lovely!! God, go home! I'll be pissed if I get sick this late in the pregnancy!
Had my 37 week appt this morning. My doctors office does not check down there till 39 weeks unless needed sooner. But from what she did seem to think is my lo has no plans on coming to visit anytime soon.
Had my 36 week appointment today. Baby A fluids was low so I get to be induced tomorrow! 2cm dilated and she said baby a was so low she's suprised I can even walk, which made me laugh! So tomorrow we get to meet our sweet little girls. We are hoping they are strong enough to stay out of the NICU, we'll see I'll try to keep you ladies updated!
36weeks 4days today had my appointment. Pee'd in a cup, blood pressure perfect, heart beat was hard to find but was perfect once she found it. Got blood drawn, strep b test and cervical check (still closed up good) but she is super low and my positioning sonogram is on Wednesday
I'm not on daily appointments yet, but I think my OB will start checking my cervix at 36 weeks. If not, I may request a check at 37, since she will be out of town the following week. Would like to be mentally prepared if there's a chance another Dr may deliver me.
Then told me she was going out of town this weekend.. Ahhhh! I can't have this baby this weekend! I need my doctor there ha-ha! She said that I won't go this weekend but that I also won't go over 40 weeks.
What stage are others at? Has anyone been in my situation... If so how long before you had your baby?
2cm dilated, 50% effaced, good heartbeat and LO's head is likely engaged and he's in an excellent positions for delivery.
Doc said I'm leaning towards being low risk again, which is great, as the little guy has continued to stay inside even after some scares a few weeks ago. Yay! Stay put just a few more weeks little man!
Had my appt this afternoon 36+5 GBS from last week came back positive-boooo had my first internal of this pregnancy and I had forgotten how uncomfortable they are-not painful just uncomfortable. Drs exact words after the internal were "well there's nothing at all going on up there!" So I'm obviously not dilated or effaced yet. I was 2 weeks late with DD and still had to be induced so who knows maybe this little guy will be late too!
Had my 35 week appointment today, pretty boring. GSB swab (not a big deal at all) and she offered to check my cervix but I declined cause I have to work tonight and didn't want to potentially be cramping, and cause at this point I think it would be just words in the wind. I have no desire to walk around knowing I am 1 or 2cm dilated for weeks. Only bonus was that I asked about my supremely weird blood test results back in October that had me taking meth, ADHD meds, xanax, and some other drugs all at once. I guess they do a preliminary, which can show a whole slew of false positives (obviously!) and the result I saw two weeks later was the final, which all showed negative. So... They know I'm not a junkie, lol \:D/
Had my 34 today. Doctor listened to the heart rate and said I have a happy kiddo. He measured right on track. I go back in 2 weeks and have the swab and will go weekly until delivery after that. I felt terrible for all the office employees because their air conditioning has been broken since yesterday and it's in the mid 80s here.
Uneventful appointment, doctor said GBS swab was negative, LO is measuring right on track, and we both look great! Dilation checks start at my visit next week at 38 weeks - if I make it that long, as my doctor said. I told him that I'd better make it that long and he just said, "You have no control over it, girl!" Not a reminder that I particularly like to hear, but it is one that I need from time to time!
Had my first weekly appt today. 35+4. Got the GBS swab, it was fine. She measured my tummy, right on track, HB was good... and had my first cervical check. No dilation but baby is in a good position. Hoping for a few more appointments like this one. I'm not ready for him to make his appearance yet, we still have some more things to buy to feel prepared.
Had our appointment earlier this week and I'm more confused than ever- is baby transverse or not? Midwife says yes, U/S said head down. I just want to know if I should mentally prepare for a C/S! Add to that, baby is also face up according to U/S so even if he does end up being head down I'll have some lovely back labor to look forward to.
Oh and I don't know if you guys remember me talking about the terrible experience I had with one of the OBs at our last appointment, but that idiot told us baby was completely head down, facing the right way, and already dropped. So this all caught me off guard. I wish I could tell her to go eat a big bag of shit.
I hate weeklies. After a high cord doppler last week I earned weekly biophysicals, growth checks and NST's. Fun. Was at clinic from 9:30 to 11:00 because they were running late. Then 1:30 to 5 at hospital because their was a delay in getting my results. AND cord Doppler readings are now normal so last week may have been a fluke. Even better last week he was estimated at 6-12 and this week 7-12. So if I go two weeks overdue like last time and he keeps this up he'll be almost 13 lbs. I know that's complete and total nonsense but fun to laugh at anyway. That's way over 10% of my normal body weight. Fun times.
Just wondering how "advanced" you are? I'll be 39 in June, but my midwives aren't doing weekly US... Is it bad that I would love to see LO every week? (I know it's no fun if you have any high risk issues that necessitate so many US, I just love seeing him....)
Not sure who this is directed to, but I'm AMA. I just turned 39 in March. Other than being "old", I've had a great pregnancy, no high risk issues. My OB's practice just does weekly sonos if you're 35+ starting at 35 weeks. While I loved seeing her again today, i think weekly sono's until D day is a bit much.
I'm old too (36) and have GD but my doctor canceled last weeks appointment, I get to start weekly (I talked her out of bi-weekly) fetal montering for 90 min along with my next three appointments.
Re: Weekly appointment check-in. (Week of 5/11)
I requested to cervical check, dr wasn't pleased, but hubby is out of country and there's no labor signs.
The swab kinda sucked, and I'm not usually very sensitive there, hoping it was a fluke and not going to be an issue when there's something much larger going on down there.
