I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed today so I told dh to take the day off. Well yesterday he mentioned going to the dmv today. I told him "I'm getting my teeth done tomorrow. You need to be there." To which he responds " I know I'll be there but I'm taking you to your dad's house after because I have stuff I NEED to do." I feel so special
When I got my wisdom teeth removed, it was a day after DH deployed. It was a freaking nightmare. Drink all the smoothies and eat all the fries! McDonald's was my best friend for a week.
If my husband doesn't bring home a pregnancy pillow today, heads will roll. This isn't flame free, unless you include the fact that I'm threatening to murder my husband over a pillow.
I took the time this morning to make myself a yummy healthy breakfast. I of course vomited it up. So instead of making another healthy breakfast, I ate a bag of Doritos. My husband would be so mad at me if he knew.
Confession: I'm really not all that into ice cream anymore. I'm eating all the red Popsicles, though! I bought a new box even though there were plenty of purple and orange left, because I needed the red ones... Also, I've not been on here much in a while, and when I get on I don't feel like responding to a lot lately.
I question the majority of N15s ability to parent just by the way they conduct themselves on here. "I don't like what you said so I am telling the admin!!!"
Boo-hoo.
I am going now to lurk on N15.
Yep I have pregnancy brain.... I was confusing this with my last BMB and thinking we were O15. I wanted to read about others that are behaving badly!
I have another. My H is a police officer and with all the recent negativity, I've taken to automatically deleting anyone who posts anti-cop crap on FB. I have zero patience.
Because of all that bs my company made a "hands off" policy for LPOs. That's the freaking fun part! Which is one of the reasons I left LP. One of my last stops was a black male and I don't have strength over many males so I usually just hang onto them until pd arrives if my male counterpart isn't there. Well he through himself into a planter, meaning I went with him and while holding onto his shirt by his armpit he actually pulled the I can't breathe bs! He drew a lot of attention and due to me being white and him being black people were trying to tell me I was in the wrong. I eventually let him go because I was able to recover the merchandise and was sick of rolling around in a planter with that dickwad.
I bought a mixed box of Fruit Rollups and Gushers the other day. I was feeling nostalgic and craving them. I wasn't going to get them, but H convinced me to do it. I've eaten half the box already. Why are they still so good?!

Pregnancy has almost completely killed my sweet tooth. This makes me a little bit sad.
Also, more of an UO: I'm sick of the whole gender vs sex debate. I don't remember if this is something I saw more on O15 or here, but I'm over the policing that goes on when the wrong one is used.

My sweet tooth disappeared as well. It's so weird.
I bought a 4lb thing of animal crackers the other day at Sam's because it sounded good. I have it sitting on the counter and I walk by it and grab a few handfuls throughout the day. I don't think it will last as long as it should for how big it is!
Breakfast this morning was last night's roast on two buttered biscuits. BUT, I had some cucumber slices with salt, pepper and apple cider vinegar for lunch. Aaaannnddd some garlic naan.

I used to get the kind with the icing on them at the grocery store all the time. They never last as long as they should!
I came here to rant about the numerous "I'm having a..." posts too but since that's been covered. I can't stand that we can't make snarky comments anymore without getting reported. I get that no one should bully someone but I'd rather someone be realistic with me than blow sunshine up my ladybits. I rarely post now because what's the point? To keep telling people I'm not an ultrasound tech and can't tell the sex of their baby? Or to tell someone yes or no it's possible they feel their baby kicking? It gets old really quick.
Also, I'm fully intending on fibbing to my MIL when my c section date will be. We told everyone (my family included) not to come into our room during my labor with my daughter and she straight up waltzed in when I was 22 hours in and 9cm dilated (I ended up with a c section later). We had to put a security word in place to prevent her from coming back in until we were ready. Not dealing with that again.

Fruit Roll Ups will always be good.
I still wrap my fruit roll ups around my finger and suck on them like I did when I was a kid. Soooooo delicious. Remember the pudding roll ups??

Pudding roll ups? I've never heard of such a thing!
Not a very exciting one: I have taken my almost three year old out for either breakfast or lunch everyday this week. I just can't think about making meals. It has got to the point where the first thing he asks me after waking up is "Where we go for lunch today!?" I'm glad he's so enthused about restaurants, but I don't think I asked my parents to go out to eat until I was in college.
I don't post often but man am I tired of seeing the 'Guess the gender' posts. It's nice to see that most people don't even answer and engage the poster anymore. But good lord, how can anyone really guess the sex of your baby? Or even care to?
This. I also can't stand the '12 weeks today woohoo' posts. No one cares. Most of us are pregnant and within a few weeks of each other, why does that deserve it's own thread?
I think I'll start a thread about it as it is imperative that everyone know the status of my womb and its contents at all times. Also... I felt the baby kick today. A straight shot to my throat. Cause that is totally possible, right??? Either way, I'm certain you feel better for knowing. Carry on.

But not through a straw! I got mine removed a few years ago and lived on mashed potatoes for days. DH got his removed a month later and was eating carrots the next day! B@$tard!

They don't make them anymore. They had chocolate pudding and vanilla pudding flavored roll ups. And a swirl one too. Delish!
I hate that my 1 yr old is a neat freak. He won't play outside because he doesn't want to touch the grass. Last night he cried after he slapped his cupcake off his high-chair because he had frosting covering his hand. He just kept waving it frantically and wailing. It was actually pretty funny DH tried to get him to lick it off but he was not having it. I don't want to have to constantly wipe him because he freaks out over dirt.

It's not policing it's educating and it's not a debate.

I completely agree with you, and please don't take this the wrong way, but I think this thread is supposed to be a no judgment zone where if we disagree we just move on.

He'll probably get over it. By two he will be just as disgusting as the other toddlers!
why can't we just write things out? its impossible to figure any out based on context clues. i don't want to have to do research every time. do you all that use them actually find time to study them until memorized?

It's not about studying so much as you pick them up over time. I personally don't use them, cause it's not my cup of tea. But if you spend long enough on any parenting related forum and you get used to the commonly used ones. Occasionally one will throw me for a loop, but you really do just pick them up as time goes on.

There's also the quote function, which helps people know who you are talking to.
They're pretty simple, you really shouldn't have to research every time. It took me less than a few days to figure them out.
it makes me feel like im an outcast of some clique and im not into cliques and it's part of what i don't like about these pregnancy boards because they make you feel like you are in highschool again. i want to converse with people too and im all about it but i think at some point there should be a cut off lol

There really aren't that many that get used often.

I'm not a huge fan of a lot of acronyms, but most of them can be figured out contextually. I've also found asking is usually pretty well received. (See my first post on this thread.)

That's on you, though. The acronyms have been a standard on TB for a LONG time. There's even a Bump glossary. Do you really expect to come here and ask people who have been posting here for ages and to change simply because you can't be bothered to take a few minutes and learn it? That's a little presumptuous.
If it bothers you so much, maybe this isn't the place for you.

Eh. Not really. Flame free is never really flame free. It's just a catchy title.

Well I'll be making a trip to Walmart soon then to see if ours carries them!
