June 2015 Moms

Just for fun!

Saw this little generator thing on Facebook - it uses the Social Security name rankings list to determine what your name would be if you were born in 2015, along with every decade since 1890. The really interesting thing for me was that my 2015 name was Hazel, which was my dad's mom's name. I was named for her, but they gave me her middle name as my middle name since apparently she hated her first name. I think it's super weird/awesome that, based strictly on popularity, my 2015 name is hers anyway!

Do any of you like the names that this gave you better than your own? I ended up liking my actual name best!

  • Mine 2015 name was Brooklyn
  • I did one of my sons who had a name in the 600s when he was born and his names were so interesting...like really out there!

I did the same with all of my siblings! My sister's name was also in the 600s and she had some weird ones... her 1970's name was Troy! And Hedy in the 1950s!

  • Wait I love this!!

I'd be Hayden today. More interested in the fact that I'd be Gussie in the 20's though =))

My current name would be Chandler... in the 1930s, it would have been Nevada.  Odd.

  • My 2015 name is Aria.  My 1940s name is my current name.  My 1960s name is my mother's name!  I like my (80s) name best, keeping it :-)
  • I had the 2nd most popular name the year of my birth, so my today name is Olivia, which I rather like.

Other than that I'm not fond of the rest until it begins to get old school - 50s, Patricia. 30s, Betty. 20s, Dorothy. Strangely, Helen was the name for both the 1910s and 1900s

  • That was cool!  My 2015 name would have been Mia, cute!  The 1980's name it gave me is actually my sister's name, Michelle.  Lol!
  • My name was 400th in popularity the year I was born, making me "Angelica" today. I don't like it! In fact, many of the names I didn't like! Marquita, Marian, Geri, Cyndi, Elida, Tillie, Bulah (the only one I like even a little bit), Savannah, Rosalia, Oda, and Melinda.
  • One of my coworkers showed me this on Wednesday! I LOVE IT! My name is Caitlyn which was 576th most popular in my birth year. My other decade names:

    2015: Leyla (I like it!)
    00s: Winter
    90s: Charissa
    80s: Rosario
    70s: Justina
    60s: Lonnie
    50s: Emilia
    40s: Verona
    30s: Santina
20s: Earlean (this is the winner haha)
    10s: Elfrieda
    00s: Pearly
    1890s: Everlena

Some really interesting ones in there. I definitely like Caitlyn the best but I like Leyla a lot!
  • That is fun! I'd be Samantha today. Nothing that great going backwards. Maybe the best one is Rita in the 1950's?

Haha mine was Myrtle from that decade.

I would be Claire today. Billie in the 30s was my favorite!
  • Ok this is seriously fun!  The crazy thing is that the name I originally wanted for our first daughter, Elizabeth, is what my name would be today!  The rest of them aren't too bad with the notable exceptions of Destiny in the 2000's and Mildred in the 1930's.....
  • Mine was boring... So I did my husbands name! His name is Lucas and his name today would be Leo. Interesting fact, we are naming our son Leo!! :) I thought that was really cool!

Olivia is going to be my LO's name! :)

  • Sweet! My 1920's name would have been Myrtle.
And another decade was Ada, which I really love and is near the top of our list for this LO! .....ya, we haven't picked yet.
  • My name would be Charlotte. Love that name!
  • Emerson!? I've never met a girl named Emerson. I really liked the name Lulu though.
  • If I were born this year I would be a Brinley, but born in the 2000s, I would be a Juanita.
  • I looked up our Girl name choice which would have a nickname of Lacie. Apparently the 2000's version of Lacie is "Babygirl". I kid you not. I thought it was a joke.

My name would have been Elizabeth instead of heather.
