I'm excited DS crib bedding came today,so that's exciting. Also I successfully painted my toes without help from DH (super manly, I know).
Went to the hospital today to find out what we needed to do to pre-register (we went to an info session, but are dealing with a foreign language that I am only intermediate in). At first the woman at the desk told us we would have to call tomorrow morning to make an appointment - but then a super nice midwife came and took pity on us, and just registered us on the spot! She spoke slowly and was really patient, so we completed the whole process without any English.
Made DH and me really proud of our language skillz and feel very comfortable, knowing we picked the right hospital. Also, looks like I will be able to try a water birth, which is really exciting for me!
@amark11 yay for lovely Germans and a potential water baby - I'm also keen to try out the water.

April Siggy Challenge
I managed to mow the lawn today and honestly was surprised I could still fit between the seat and steering wheel, so that made me feel good. I LOVE a freshly mowed lawn! Also managed to buy and slice up some fruit today for easy snacking. Next is salad prep!
I love how most of us mentioned food. I had a taco for lunch and coffee ice cream tonight... Baby likes!
I am slogging through a paper that has a soft deadline of today, and it is one of my last obligations before maternity leave. It is beautiful outside, and I just realized that in two weeks, I will have four months of no obligations other than caring for a newborn! The garden/yard of our apartment is beautiful right now, and the idea of just chilling for a few months there with DH and LO is heavenly!
(Yeah, I know my little fantasy is overlooking the post-delivery recovery, and sleepless nights, etc. but that's ok for now.)
