Is there any difference between generics and name brand?

My dr wants to do all name brand for some reason but that means my meds would be $5200 versus I don't 2k. Is there really any difference? Such as Novarel for $115 versus hcg for $63

No, there is no difference between the name brand and generic. I did get Novarel at the same price as the generic through Walgreen's Specialty. Also, if your clinic will send the prescriptions to a foreign pharmacy (like ivfmeds.com as an example it's based in the UK) you will save thousands and they are the same medications, even with the expedited shipping.

Yes, that's what I would LIKE to do.. but they told me foreign places use different measurements or something?? I will check out walgreens specialty.. but he put a hold on it until it was time so I wonder if I will get it in time.

There is no difference, unless you are allergic to an inactive ingredient that's in one and not the other (I've had that happen once before and it was actually something in the name brand I had a reaction to), but that doesn't happen really often. I'm not sure why your doctor would insist on name brand, mine usually goes out of his way to request generic.
