FFFC - flame free Friday confessions, 5/8

I'm not Catholic but always enjoy these confessions...So gimme yours!



Mine:
my cold is going away and I secretly like the chewable Vitamin C tablets, so I'm not super miserable like I pretend to be.

I have a 70s bush even when I'm not pregnant. I keep it trimmed but don't wax or shave. DH really doesn't seem to mind. The women who comment on shaving before a Dr appointment blow my mind!

    I am so overwhelmed with getting stuff ready for baby. Everything seemed so much easier with DS. By the time I get home from work I just want to relax. I secretly wish someone would offer to come over and help. I'd even order food. Lol DH has been great but he just rain a nail through his foot so we are both pretty useless right now. I wish I had an assistant to do this stuff. Lol

    I'm also jealous. My favorite seasonal is from Hawaii and last year didn't come stateside. I don't have high hopes for it coming over this year, either. This is the time of year they would usually start showing up. If I find it, tho... I'm drinking one. And buying a lot of them to hoard.

    I shaved for about a decade or so, and on a whim thought I'd grow it out. Swung the idea by the hubs and he was all for it. He seems to prefer it. I trim the sides up, but that's about it. Makes shaving day a lot quicker for sure!

    I am so overwhelmed with hormones and depression this pregnancy.  I have days where all I do is hold back tears.  So yesterday, my son (3) wants to play with the neighbor's daughter (6) after day care... normally this is great, but I just want to go in and lay down on the couch... I'm obviously frustrated that I can't get him to come inside... that's when the neighbor bitch (mom of 6-year-old) starts.... "You know, you're going to have TWO soon!"  REALLY?!?!  I had no idea....  She basically was saying, if you can't handle ONE, just wait until there's TWO...  Next.... My son's in a diaper.  I comment on how little he looks.... she says, "LISA, he's THREE.... it's TIME".....  one dig after another....  if my son and her daughter hadn't been there.... there would have been BLOOD....  :(

    @katyertl Lucas wrote the set (1-6) way back in the day but only got approval to do three of the movies. The limitations of special effects at the time made it so he felt he couldn't do the first 3 the way he wanted / imagined them, so they did the latter trilogy first. At least, that's what I've heard as the reason.

    @upandbelow that is one whack ass order! How was that order determined, I wonder? I may have to watch them that way one time. Tho the abrupt switch from old skool to new skool effects from 3 to 6 would be jarring, I think. And episode 1 is worth it only for the pod race, and the battle between Quigon and Darth Maul. And the sound effects during the battle between the Gungans and the Droid army on Naboo. That's always been our surround sound testing scene every time we move and set all the electronics back up. Also, there's some good quotes in there.

    Also, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hijack the FFFC thread with Star Wars. #:-S Sorry I'm a total fangirl

    What ever happened to good ole sequential order? @mellymar - I'll keep the order in mind if I get around to watching it. I'm typically done with anything on screen after 30 minutes (except Grey's and Scandal).

    same. Read both twilight and 50 shades multiple times. I could not care less about Harry potter and what I've seen of star wars was not entertaining at all. Sorry @mellymar

    I've also been trying to gauge if my bump is lower than before or if its just wishful thinking on my part. I'm sure its wishful thinking, I'm still 5 weeks to go, and probably more after that. But I still look in the mirror like 'hmmm...'

    Oh no...please tell me that someone is not that cruel to their kid (this probably deserves to be in a random post but I'm being lazy)!

    my FFFC is that i think there should be a limit on how many children people are allowed to have. especially with orphanages being full and the way the world is getting.

    i also think that minimum wage where i live should be raised to $15 as most people are looking to. but i dont think it should happen in fast food places.

    ok. i guess i need to clarify. i dont feel the $15 increase should apply to the totally new to the workforce 15 year olds. more so to the people who actually need that money to support their family, single mothers for example.

    and for the other thing i said, this world will not sustain us forever, that is obvious. we are over populating and that is something that cannot be ignored/overlooked. especially when there are places like orphanages with kids who are unwanted. i understand the concept of having so much love to give and wanting a big family, but why not love the children who have no one, who are unwanted.
