What you're doing to get KU: Prepping by taking prenatals, temping/charting, being healthy (usually).

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Rant:  Gahhhhh my face is breaking out.  Everyone always tells me I look like my students because I look young (I teach HS), but now I look like them just a little too much.  No raves.  I'm grumpy.

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money? I was JUST talking to my husband about this yesterday.  So in AZ they teach abstinence only (like most other red states, and even many blue ones).  I would love to set up a free service where parents can send their kids to get really good comprehensive sex ed.  It would be totally separate from schools so that I could do whatever tf I want.  Also I would take a year off and travel EVERYWHERE.

@concreteayngel If you don't mind me asking, how is pineapple beneficial?

Are you referring to pineapple core? I've heard that in relation to the TWW to improve implantation...or something?
That's the first I've heard of it. Im curious so I googled it. You are correct! If you eat pineapple a week after O, it can help thicken the uterine lining which helps implantation. Hmmm... Interesting.
Yes that is what I'm referring to. Pineapple core contains an enzyme called Bromelain which is supposed  to help with implantation.

What you're doing to get KU: charting, OPKs, not enough sex

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: my OPKs (testing 2x/day) don't even have a faint second line so are the most negative they could positively (haha) be but I had a temp increase today of .5 degrees.  The last few days I had temp decreases though, so I'm not really above my baseline. I may be looking for a chart stalk in the next few days if I can actually figure out how to share it. In other unrelated technology fails, the bump refuses to let me update my avatar. I've tried an approximate gajillion times and it seems like it saves successfully and then my picture is the default for no reason.

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money? I would certainly stop working. I'd buy my family houses, travel, volunteer, drink coffee and read. I dream about this life daily...

CD: 1 :-(

What you're doing to get KU: temping, OPKs, checking CM, after AF we will BD every day or EOD (preseed should have arrived by then!).  I think I need to do OPKs twice a day this cycle.  But can probably only do FMU and then evening because of work.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: My chart sucked last cycle.  I didnt get my BBT until partway in, and then with it being new, I forgot to temp a day here and there.  Also my birthday was last month so a good amount of drinking probably threw things off.  Chart stalk anyone?  My Ovulation Chart.
I didn't get crosshairs but was thinking I O'd around CD 33 due to CM and positive OPK.  But that would make for a scarily short LP with a full cycle of 38 days.  I probably just need to start fresh this cycle and be better about temping.

On the plus side this was my first cycle off BCP and I am a little happy to see AF as it shows I am ovulating!

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money? Pay off DH's med school loans.  Finish decorating our condo.  Get DH a new car (he has a 2 door with manual locks and windows).  Take a HUGE honeymoon - Bali perhaps? - since we haven't done that yet and first anniversary coming up!

For those waiting to ovulate:

Month/Cycle: 8

CD: 9

What you're doing to get KU: temping, CM tracking, FF, prenatals, will do OPK closer to anticipated O date

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Temping vaginally this cycle to see if makes my chart less rocky. I had to be at work early this morning and thus woke up almost 2 hours earlier than usual so of course my chart is already getting wonky. :| Also I need to figure out how to link my chart on here but guessing I can't do that on mobile...

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money? (1) Definitely would donate a chunk of it if I won an obscene amount because I could never use that much in my lifetime, even if I leave an inheritance for my kids (2) Would not fully retire because I like working but would definitely drop to part time and use the extra time to write a novel (3) Travel the world with DH.

I'm not a charting expert, but I'm not sure you ovulated last month. I can't see a clear thermal shift. It's possible to get a positive OPK and not ovulate.

I don't think you have enough clean data. There are a lot of open circles and missed temps. Now that you've had practice with a cycle, try to be more consistent next month. Take your temp at the same time every day and try not to skip days. I would guess that you did ovulate bc it seems like a pretty standard cycle length and all but idk when or if it's certain. The one +opk at the end of your cycle seems strange as well. You should do that everyday until it's postive since you can have more than one surge at any time in your cycle even if it's not signalling ovulation. You may have had one earlier and missed it bc you weren't usking opks every day.

I'm not a chart expert either but you might want to start temping at the beginning of your cycle. It's possible that you ovulate really early, say day 10-11 and perhaps are having an abnormally long luteal phase. All of these things are very rare. My guess is that maybe you didn't ovulate this time.

Cycle 5 of trying, Month two where the timing will be right and I've ovulated (thinking positively here).
CD 13

To get KU: Oh, you know, just relaxing. That's all it takes, you know.  :-j

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Rant: I love my hair stylist, but she wrecked my hair last weekend. She gave me highlights when I specifically asked for something else (with pictures!), and then she didn't let the front part process enough, so it's brass-y which is my #1 hair pet-peeve. Rave: she's going to fix it tomorrow. Hopefully for free. Chart stalk: super uninteresting and not worth your time right now.

If I won $200 mil in the lottery, I would:
• Give 20 of my closest friends $2 mil each.
• Go on a ridiculous vacation with said friends. Maybe a few, actually.
• Invest in my husband's company, quit my job, and go work for him. I like working.
• Putting enough away for retirement, college, or whatever.
• Donate a ridiculous amount to charities. Areas of interest would be: medical research, children, and dogs. Sorry, cat people.

Sorry not trying to hijack WTO thread, but I have a temping question for fellow snoozers.

I tend to snooze 45 minutes every morning.  If you do the same, do you temp before snoozing?  Since I consistently snooze the same amount of time each morning I wouldn't expect it to have too much effect on my chart.

You absolutely have to temp before going back to sleep. You need 3 solid hours of sleep. Waking up and going back to sleep for 45 minutes will not be accurate. I hit snooze as well, but always temp before going back to sleep. If DH wakes me before he leaves, that's when I temp. Temp for the minute and then go back to sleep :)

I have to disagree with pps. I wouldn't automatically assume that you didn't ovulate. I only say this because you were not consistent with temping or even opks. There are a lot of open circles, missing temps, and high temps from drinking. I would look at this as a practice cycle and not look too far into anything. There is no way to know for sure.

Yeah I temp at 5:30 every morning and go back to sleep until my alarm goes off at 6...and then I hit the snooze at least once after that.

My thoughts have been not enough clean data.  I will work to be more consistent with temping this cycle! I have scanned the FF tutorials but find them boring at times, so I am sure I have missed things.

For those waiting to ovulate:

Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 1

What you're doing to get KU: nothing yet, drinking wine, eating junk food, planning a getaway for next weekend for DH and I for my b-day, yay!

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I feel much better than I did yesterday/day before. Glad to have a week or so of knowing that all I have to do is let AF take her course.

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money?  I've thought about this a lot (which is kind of funny since I rarely buy lottery tickets). I would hire some fancy-ass accountant to help us budget money to be able to set aside sums for our immediate family and closest friends to be given in the form of gifts to do with as they please. Then I would coerce my mom and sister and her kids to move with us someplace where there's not snow 6 months out of the year. Then I'd set up some sort of non-profit (I have a soft spot for the elderly, so that's the direction I'd probably go) and invite any of my family/friends who are passionate about the cause to come work there. Then DH and I would live our lives doing something we love and helping others (and traveling a lot!) I don't think I'd work more than 20 hours a week, though, because I just have a ton of other interests I would like to pursue. And I would hire a full-time cleaning lady and pay her really well. :-)
BabyFruit Ticker
• Month/Cycle: 20-something/ 20-something

CD: 19

What you're doing to get KU: Sex, prenatals, temping, and as of today, back to OPKs

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: Still feeling a little bit like I'm taking crazy pills. My chart looks crazy, FF says I haven't O'd yet even though I was predicted to on the 3rd. Negative OPK this morning before work and this afternoon when I got home. Guess I just won't ovulate this cycle. Wheeee!

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money? Well I definitely wouldn't work the hours I work. I'd probably go from 50-55 hours/week nurse to "Just whenever I feel like it" nurse. That sounds ok to me. I'd pay off everything my parents owe money on (house, car, etc.), and buy my MIL's house.
• Month/Cycle: 1/1 (Started TTC last month mid-cycle, but this is our first full cycle).

CD: 1

What you're doing to get KU: Temping, OPKs, CM.

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: We started TTC mid-cycle last month and I *think* we hit my fertile window (based off previous temping data), but I really hated not knowing when I O'd. I was originally not going to temp and go the NTNP route, but I definitely dislike being in the dark. I just bought a new BBT and ordered Wondfos OPKs and tests. :)

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money?
I would love to not work. DH would probably still work because he loves his job.
- Buy a house (sadly around where we live houses are selling for $1M+) :(
- Give a large portion to family & friends
- Donate to charities we feel strongly about
- Buy a condo near Disneyland and set aside enough for annual passes for us for the rest of our lives. :D
- Save the rest for future generations

What you're doing to get KU: Temping, OPKs, CM. I've seen people mentioning green tea? Does it actually help?

Rants/Raves/Chart Stalks: I mentioned this in another thread but I met a lovely *ahem* lady when I shopped for OPKs which was interesting. I'm also stressing out that I'm going to ovulate at all. First month temping and have a history of no ovulation or no periods. The temping is helping this well as will the OPKs when I start them tomorrow.

GTKY - If you won the lottery (like let's say over $200 million), how would your life change? What would you do with the money?
I'd pay off my house and those of my family, go on a huge holiday with DH and probably study my PhD without worrying about income. The rest I would put into a trust for my family and my future kids (FX)
