I haven't been constipated at all...until now. I feel so bloated and miserable. I'm hoping a bowl of raisin bran for a snack might help. If not, I'm going to have to head to the pharmacy.
Well had my 36 week appointment today! 1cm dilated and 25% effaced. Was having real labor contractions last night. Had 3 within an hour. All along they have been saying she is probably going to be early, lets just hope not too early. So we will see! I know I could go all the way to the end dilated., but they said they are going to check weekly now and to be ready for her to come at any time. Pretty exciting how close we are to meeting her!
36+1 and ferocious heartburn/indigestion has to be my biggest bug bear at this stage. I mean don't get me wrong ladies, I'm uncomfortable doing most things, pelvic pains (cracking, aching, grinding) stop me from enjoying my daily walks now so I really feel like a lazy pig not being able to get proper exercise but final stretch now so trying to stay positive :-) Midwife app yesterday and found out I'm now 4/5th engaged so was positive news, just need to get bouncing on my birthing ball every night once I've gone full term next week as I'm determined to not be late! Been having sharp pains in crotch & much more frequent BH too, constantly needing the loo even though I only get a tinkle out..All exciting stuff though and all be worth it as soon as I get that first cuddle.
Thanks to my GD diet and having to get out and exercise (I.e go for walks), I've actually been feeling surprisingly energized these past couple of weeks. With DS, by this point I was curled in the fetal position on the couch (where I stayed for the final 4 weeks) eating anything and everything (and finishing up my 55lb weight gain).
One symptom that I didn't experience with DS that has been a bitch this time is a very sore pubic bone. I totally get when people complain about feeling like they were kicked in the vagina. This is how I feel. Other than that I'm still enjoying all of baby's movements because she's positioned in a way that doesn't allow any limbs to get "all up" in my rib cage (with DS he lived in my ribs and it was soo painful). I'm hoping to ride out the rest of this pregnancy in a similar fashion... But being a realist, I know the horrible discomfort is just around the corner.
First one might be a little TMI. Has anyone had a slow amniotic fluid leak? What was that like? How slow is slow? My water broke full force with my first one (just like the movies!) so I'm nervous about this one breaking early too... But have just been having clear liquid that is different from my discharge.
Second question: Is anyone else loosing weight this late in the game? I've lost two pounds this week... Not trying to. I'm 32 weeks.
I have a call in to the drs office but they are taking their sweet time to call me back.
got my first cervix check yesterday and OB said I am softening and baby is head down already...
after that appointment I felt EXTEREMELY tired.. and we went to a baseball game last night in the sun with 85 degree weather... I was done and annoyed..... got home and passed out on the couch with very swollen feet
since the appointment I just feel extremely tired... walk alot slower... I don't know if it is all in my head.. or it is really a turning point for me...
Now all I want to do is eat dinner with plate balanced over my belly on the couch.. and watch some reality TV and sleep... 1.5hr more at work.. sighz
Some articles state that some women lose a few pounds before delivering. So I think you are okay there.
And yes it is possible to have a slow amniotic fluid leak. Kind of gross but you will be able to differentiate between discharge vs fluid by smell. Putting a pad on and walking around vigorously and it has a certain odor like you prob remember from your first babe.
I went for my U/S and Elle was sticking out her tongue / making faces. Then I was told ( on another board) that babies with DS sick their tongue out a bunch. I was never tested for anything so. Ehhh I guess anything is possible. But now I'm in panic for no reason... Fact is everything else looks good with her. No issues so if she did have DS she would still be born healthy. I feel like an idiot even worrying about it.
They have thrown ds out as a possibility about what could cause some of my baby's fluid and growth but the specialist has never said anything about it's tounge out, which I know they have seen at scans. So I wouldn't worry. I have also read up enough about the soft markers and it never said anything about it in utero.
Okay, so this is weird, but I've been noticing that lately when LO moves, especially when she kicks up near my ribs, I get an odd tickling sensation in my vagina. Not sure how the two are connected - I guess just the way that she's positioned in there? - but is anyone else experiencing this?
Ugh, I found stretch marks on my inner thighs today....I thought I was gonna be in the clear. Bittersweet.
Other than that I'm super sore and uncomfortable today. I feel like LO doubled in size the past 24hours. I feel sooooo full. Told DH that my luck she's gonna be two weeks overdue and his response was "better than 2 weeks early" I'm not all too sure about that....
So much RLP here, too - when I walk, cough, move... @finchfeeder80 and @hoodoll82 thanks for helping me know that's normal for this stage.
Also sharp pains in my crotch when I walk. (Not sure if that's lightening crotch since it's more of a constant.) Makes me walk a little funny but it's tolerable so far.
Rolling over in bed is painful for the first time. Body is really getting ready!

I do think we are having all the same symptoms! Just achey and pained all over. The crotch tightness and ache is newer. I feel like I got hit by a truck! And doc said I'm not at all dilated. I was kinda expecting those symptoms to mean she was doing something new, but nope!

Re: DAILY SYMPTOMS 5/7 stop here if you are new!!! And post!
ETA: @klkonwi I hope your headache goes away!
