DH is at it again with his shananagins!
  • Loading the player...
  • My DH is so confused by the food aversions I almost feel bad for him! Last night he asked me repeatedly to eat things that sounded terrible (that admittedly sounded great when I bought it...). I keep telling him I don't know why I can't eat it, "I don't make the rules!" Him asking me the same food question multiple times is driving me crazy...I just said I don't want hummus stop asking me!
  • @TomekiaB my DH does the same thing and when i say no. he always says "but you love ___(whatever)___". The OB told me to eat protein and he brought all this red meat and eggs . *sigh*
  • @razberii Oh, no you cannot force a specific protein on food aversions! I have been partial to greek yogurt or a glass of milk lately. However, since my husband just stocked up on yogurt, it will probably become the next aversion to puzzle him, no fun!
  • I'll preface this by saying my husband is generally very caring and I am blessed to have him. However, last night I thought I was gonna kill him. My HG has been even worse this pregnancy and as I was getting up off the bathroom floor last night he walks in and says "hey, can you do some laundry?"
  • Wow reading some of your comments makes my life look a little better. I have an amazing boyfriend but I swear he doesn't understand pregnancy! This is his second and my first. And I HATE it when he compares my pregnancy to his ex's. It infuriates me he says " well blah blah wasn't like this when she was pregnant she could eat anything and not get sick" well great for her! I'm so sorry my first pregnancy is so much worse then your exgirlfriends. Granted because of this terrible fatigue I sleep a lot and I mean a lot. So when he comes home he does do a lot of the cleaning and I do the cooking and on the weeks we have lil man his mom helps out and watches him while I sleep. But sometimes when he makes comments like that I wanna say well then if being pregnant with her was so much fun why don't you do it again?! Ok rant over
  • So since we are having our families over this weekend, I spent allll day scrubbing the house. It was spotless. The minute my DH came home he dropped his dirty work boots on my just mopped floors. Argh! Then this morning I wake up, he left crumbs all over the table, syrup smeared on the counter and food particles all over the sink. Like what the hell dude?! Why do I bother cleaning the house?! How the hell old are you? Clean up after your damn self!!!! Ugh.

I have officially gone on strike, mother in law moved in (again, but that's a rant that needs it's on board.. or book) I clean after I cook so that I don't have to clean the next time I cook..I worked 2 12s and came back to a kitchen from hell. So I ordered chineese food for one and let my DH and MIL starve lol

    Hahaha that's awesome!!!!
  • My DH has been great this whole experience, but these all sound way too familiar. I'm having such bad back problems that I'm in Physical Therapy so he's finally getting the hint that he shouldn't touch me at night haha.

I wish my DH would rub or massage me! He can do about 10 seconds before he whines, "my hands getting tired!"

I don't know where you live, but here there are so many places that do reflexology. I figure I can pay some person to rub my feet for an hour and they will never complain because they don't even speak my language ;-) it's definitely much easier then trying to get DH to rub for more than a few minutes.
    Lol!

I have been on strike for a couple months now as my clinical schedule is ramping up and I'm working 12 hr shifts around it so I can stay full time. I thought since DH was retired now he could do some of the work around the house...... Evidently I was mistaken. So I will see how messy he can stand it, or until I snap and spend my only day off scrubbing the place and best him with the mob. Funny aside, I'm house sitting for my parents this weekend I just ran naked around heir entire house for 10 minutes trying to find a towel lol

Lol @Razberii yes it was an interesting morning to say the least. I spent the entire evening rearranging their living room so I guess it was probably a deserved no towel debacle
