Yesterday, it was a Margarita! Went out to eat and because it was Cinco de Mayo, they didn't have virgin Margaritas because they needed be machine for regular ones!!
Red wine, most sushi and rare steak! Oh and exercise, maybe not miss it, just wish I could do it (dr put me on unofficial bed rest) because I'm already getting fatter. Ugh!!
Energy for exercise, my love of coffee and chocolate.. Looking at a menu and being excited about many delicious options instead of being disgusted .. Sleeping through the night without 3 trips to the bathroom .. Wine and cheese exploration... All worth it though, after seeing my last ultra sound and those little arms and legs moving around ☺️
Coffee, soda, and chocolate are my big ones. I could easily consume caffeine all day pre-pregnancy, but I've cut back to one or no caffeinated beverages a day and very limited chocolate intake (little to none). It's been really rough... And I really wanted a steak the other day, so I ordered it well done, and that was practically torture. I need a little pink in there!
Red wine, mostly because both my parents and my in laws make their own. I used to have a glass at dinner. Now everyone drinks wine while I drink gingerale. Also it's finally gorgeous outside and I would love to relax outside with a beer. All my favorite summer brews are out!!
Oh man, I thought it was just the wine and beer, but now I want raw shellfish...oysters and littlenecks on ice with a squeeze of lemon. That is summer. Oh, and running comfortably. I can't believe at 14 weeks it already feels like I am running with my stomach between my knees.
I have an amazing ob-gyn who specializes in high risk pregnancies and she told me I can absolutely have sushi as long as I don't eat it too frequently. I'm keeping to once every two weeks...
What I miss is food. Nothing is appealing at all... I'm still hungry but everything I try is just disgusting. I like grapes, salad and raw almonds and that's about all I can find. I REALLY miss food.
I miss being able to lick the spoon when baking! I'm making Gooey Butter Cake tonight for a women's retreat this weekend, and I'm going to be sad when I can't indulge in the batter.
