@kkfl2m+b A reverse book? That's an amazing idea! I'm dead set that any name has to having a good meaning. What book did you get? My DH is lucky his fave name has a cute meaning. He loves Abigail which means "father's joy" - especially cute cos he is absolutely determined she's having that name if the baby's a girl.
It's called "baby names made easy: the complete reverse dictionary of baby names".
Me: 30 DH: 31 Married: 2012 BFP #1 Sept 2014, MMC Dec 2014 | BFP #2 May 2015, DD Jan 2016 | BFP #3 May 2017, MC July 2017 | BFP #4 Jan 2018, MC Feb 2018 | BFP #5 July 2018, fingers crossed
We have our girls name ready to go: Lilly Grace We are undecided about a boys name. We like Sevarino. I know it's different but it's a family name. Otherwise we hate all other boys names. Lol.
Gah! I love baby names, it's always the first thing I begin thinking about when I'm newly pregnant.
We already have 2 sons, so we've already gone through all the boys names that we like. I'm fairly sure that if this wee one is also a boy; he will be Leo Rhodes. Which translates to "a lion, where the roses grow."
Girls are a bit harder. Some top runners from my last pregnancy...
I adore Clementine, Juniper, and Ophelia as first names. Beatrice is okay but I don't like it near as much. I am not a fan of Flora at all.
I adore Rose, Poppy, Iris, Pearl, and Violet in the middle name spot.
Combinations I like are:
Clementine Rose Clementine Pearl Juniper Rose Juniper Iris Juniper Violet Ophelia Rose Ophelia Pearl Ophelia Poppy Ophelia Iris Ophelia Violet Beatrice Poppy Beatrice Violet Beatrice Pearl Beatrice Rose
Maybe we are weird, but DH and I thought of names well before even trying. We may or may not have been consuming some alcohol one night and drunkenly decided to go with a "Beatles" theme for our children. Turns out, even sober we like the idea!
My son (to my ex-husband) is Maxwell ... so that still works, because of the Beatles song.
So, for a boy? It's Jude Robert - My dad's name is Robert.
And for a girl? Eleanor Rose - My grandmother's name was Rosella.
Hopefully we don't keep having children and run out of themed names. lol!
That is an awesome idea WinchestertoPittsburgh! I have always liked the name "Julia" after the Beatles song. With DD we used a combination of family names to call her "Helena Lea." If baby # 2 is a girl, I would love to continue the "L" sounds with Isabelle, Julia, Amelia, etc. If we have a boy, I would like to call him Michael or John after my father or grandfather, but both names are really common in our family and friend circles already. I also like Morgan and Logan, though they don't have any family significance.
I've had this name before even trying and it's for a girl because I want a girl so bad Sofia and maybe a second name still not sure but it will be Denisse
We are not sure yet...we have like 50 names floating back and forth between us. Our oldest is Logan, so we want a name to sound nice with his. For a boy, we want to use James as the middle name. For family on both sides. We may use my grandmother's name Margaret as a middle name for a girl. Just still deciding. We have time...
Married- 7/17/10
Baby #1- "L.J."- 3/14/12
Expecting #2- EDD 1/8/16
"Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride"
Our names were picked out before we were even trying. Haha.
Girl - Maci Elizabeth. Elizabeth is my Nana's first name and is also the middle name of my cousin who passed away last week. Anyone hear of the first girl in GA to get cannibas oil for uncontrollable seizures? That was my cousin. She was 8.
Boy - Brady Anthony. Brady was my maiden name and Anthony is the middle name of DH and his father.
First, what does DH stand for. I'm new to this. :-).
Second, I love the videos! We can't wait to tell the world!!
I've had Isaac picked or for a boy since my granddad passed in 99. My husband is good with that name too. We took a while to pick out a middle name but I think we both like Isaac Thomas for a boy (both my granddad's middle names and both have passed on).
He likes Piper for a girl. Yes this comes from the Charmed ones. It was one of his favorite shows. I want a biblical name and thought about Mary Piper but was afraid she'd be called Mary Poppins so we are looking for middle names for the girl.
@chamlett14 it's referring to Husbands but not sure about the D part but it seems to be used like DD and DS referring to son or daughter! It's a freaking decoding puzzle on these board !
Hmm Mary poppins is close but not to close... Sarah Piper is nice! Abigail and Rebecca. Are pretty with Piper too! Congrats on the pregnancy
For a boot either James Daniel or James Henry. My grandfather was James and there are four granddaughters and I got to claim James for my own so that's a must, but the middle names are rough, I love the name James Henry and Henry is my other grandfather, but James Daniel is awesome to but my husband and father in law are named Daniel (hubby is ajunior) and as much as the hubby deserved a namesake, I'm not really happy about giving my father in law one.
For a girl we both like Natalie Grace, but I'm really in love with Emily Grace or Adeline Grace, our oldest is Amelia so I like the pairing of Emily and Amelia or Addie and Amelia but the hubby isn't found of those of course
For a girl Imani (meaning faith)or Nia (meaning purpose) DP gets to chose if its a boy X_X Middle names will have to begin with K as we both have first names starting with K.
Kamil (meaning perfect) or Karim(meaning generous) for a boy Not sure for a girl yet
Ive picked all Swahili names. Just love the way they sound!

DH = darling husband
DS= darling son
DD= darling daughter
Not sure how they came about and I still don't know what some mean, but you eventually catch on.

For a girl we like Lucy Beth (Beth instead of Elizabeth, my mums middle name)
For a boy I really like Declan and he like Douglas so we'll see where we end up on that!
We're keeping the gender a surprise so we have lots of time to decide!
We're also not sharing our names with family or friends. You ladies are the only ones who know, haha!
