Shedding hair -- anyone else?

I am losing what feels like handfuls of hair --- I have shoulder length curls and for about the last two weeks have been losing hair all over the place. My black dresses look like fur coats by mid-afternoon!

Anyone else have this issue? Anyone have a solution? I've always heard you get thicker, fuller hair when pregnant and while I have always had thick hair and am not worried about getting too thin but is this pointing to me not doing something right?

I'm losing more than I used to although definitely not handfuls. Some women get better hair and some don't. If it feels like too much bring it up with your doctor.

With my first two I didn't notice a lot of shedding until after I gave birth. This time around I am shedding like an animal losing their fur coat. The hormone changes as well as just your hair going through different stages is likely contributing to the shedding and it's fairly normal as long as you aren't getting big bald spots.

My hair has been falling out too! However it's growing fast, (especially on my legs!) I was hoping to be one of those lucky ones that stops shedding too, no such luck!

Thanks for the replies. It's always nice to hear I'm not the only one. I emailed my OB and she said I should maybe see my dermatologist just to be on the safe side but not to worry (easier said then done).

I get about a handful of hair out every day. I have to brush at least 3 times a day. I'm seeing my ob on Wednesday so I am going to bring it up with her then. My hairdresser said to try biotin. I am not on a prenatal (i take a mix of vitamins my stomach cam handle) so I'm not getting the biotin that way.
