Who's Announcing to mom on Mother's Day?

Anyone announcing their pregnancy with a gift on Mother's Day? How are you doing it? I'll be 6 weeks and 3 days and I can't not wait to tell my mom and my hubby's parents!

We are having our parents over for a brunch, and giving them a framed picture of our ultrasound.

Nice. See we don't have an ultrasound yet. Not until May 29th. But thinking of making a sign/plaque reading the best mom gets promoted to grandma. And a few other small things. But then still deciding on MIL. May give a oven pan with a bun in it. She's already a grandma!

I already told my parents but we're telling his on Mother's Day over Skype since they live across the country. I really just wanted to see their faces! I'm making shirts that say "The best parents get promoted to grandparents" that we're going to be wearing when they answer the Skype call. I hope they're excited!! Had to tell my parents over the phone and I so wish I could have seen my mom's face.

Oh my gosh too funny! We're making shirts that say best parents get promoted to grandparents! Great minds!!

We will have our first US on Monday and plan to tell both families on Mother's Day. Based on LMP I'm 8w 2d today, so we hope the US confirms the same since I wasn't temping or all the other things I've seen/should have been doing apparently (oops! But this is my first and I was less than 2 months off BC so...didn't expect SO quickly!). If it confirms and I'm 9 weeks for MD, we plan to give both mothers a jar of olives with a handmade card saying something like "Mom, your new grandchild is the size of an olive today and can't wait to meet you! Baby Smith coming December 2015 with an ultrasound pic inside. If it's a little off we will give whatever food is for that week, raspberry or whatever. Fingers are crossed, I'm so nervous and afraid it's just going to "go away" so we are very anxious for the US. But we are so thrilled and cannot wait to FINALLY share the news!

Hi kind of new here. I actually found out last Friday I am pregnant and had it confirmed through blood work this past wednesday. I'm about six weeks and according to calculations I'm due at the end of Dec. Two days after Christmas.

I want to tell our families on Mother's Day, but we decided to wait until I'm 8-12wks. I have a few ideas on how I'm going to tell my mom, but haven't borrowed it down.

We have our first ultrasound on Tuesday. I'll be 8w 3d unless they change it. If everything goes well, we're planning to tell our parents on Mother's Day. Not sure how we'll do it yet but I can't wait! They have no idea that we were even trying so I think it's going to be a wonderful surprise for everyone!

I wish I can and would love to. But I've yet to have my first ultrasound. And it doesn't help that I've been spotting on and off for a couple of days now. No announcements for me just yet.

I will be 10 weeks so we are announcing on mothers day. I found magic coffee mugs that when you put hot drink in mug a picture shows up... if nothing then they look like black mugs. We are inviting mothers over for breakfast and serve them coffee in their mugs. The picture is of the first ultrasound and it says new addition, coming 12/5/15. Very excited!

We are telling both families on mothers day! This will be my parents first grand child and DH parents 3rd! Im crafty and made a little project that says 34 until we are grandparents and as the weeks go on they can change the numbers on the blocks!

So exciting! Doc apt on Monday where we will hopefully have an ultrasound! Then Mother's Day lunch with the family! I found a picture frame on etsy that says the best parents get promoted to grandparents ...hopefully we can put an ultrasound pic in! What a perfect day to tell the new grandmothers! We still haven't figured out how to tell everyone else! 9 weeks and 2 days!

We have most of our family in another state so I found Mother's Day cards to give to our mothers that say something about being a Grandma. I'm also sending out magnets that I made that say Baby Geist 2015. I have pictures but it won't let me upload them right now. It's a little early to tell everyone but we are too excited and it's the perfect time so we are just going for it.

My mom already knows otherwise I totally would have. We are taking her to see Cinderella the musical and I am pretty sure I am going to cry throughout it lol. It's been stressing me out knowing I'm going to have to listen to such wonderful childhood music with my mom and imagining doing that with my little one one day, I just know I'm going to start crying lol!

We will be telling both sets of parents on Mother's Day. I'll have my 8 week scan the Friday before so hopefully everything looks perfect on Friday so we can tell them on Sunday. Both families are out of state so we will have to tell them over Skype/FaceTime. Thinking about telling them we got them a Mother's Day gift but it is on back order and won't come until December

we have a couple other thoughts on how to say it. We will see what we end up going with!

Love reading these posts! It makes it so real! We are announcing on MD. I bought a frame off etsy that says "I love Nana" (what my mom said she wants to be called). I was going to put the u/s pic in it, but now that we know it's twins, I kind of want to think of an exciting way to announce that we're having two. But my mind is blank so far.

My parents already know but we'll be telling the rest of my family and all of his on Mother's Day. I can't wait to see reactions. We told my parents by getting my dad some baby things on his birthday.

We're telling my inlaws on Mother's Day since they are coming by for brunch. I'm framing a picture of my oldest holding some sort of sign and wrapping it and including it in my MIL's other presents.

Not telling my parents till we see them in person in Mid May. Really want to do it in person. I'll be dressing my daughter in a cute shirt and see if they notice.

Omg these are all so cute! Were doing it on Mothers Day and We will be 6 weeks 3 days at the time we tell my parents, and 7 weeks 3 days when we tell the hubby's parents. I ordered mm&m's that say "baby b 12/30/15, on the way and Nana &Papa... we got little tins with chalkboard tops and we will write something on the top about mommies, and something about grandma's on the inside. Also, my family will know as soon as I don't drink so we will make a "special cocktail" (na pregotini ) before hand

DH and I plan on telling our mothers on Mothers' Day. Today was my moms birthday and I got her a card that said "The test results are in" on the outside and everyone thought that it was going to be pregnancy news on the inside since we have a history of miscarriages. So hopefully she will be excited when we tell her in a week. I go back in for my second ultrasound on Thursday and I will be 7 weeks 5 days, fingers crossed everything goes alright and there is still something in there for us to tell about. I haven't been able to come up with a way of telling her, I'm not wanting to jinx anything.

I have a history of miscarriages, so I called my mom the morning I peed on the stick for support. Things are looking good for us, and my Dr has me on everything to make this baby stick! My levels haven't risen like they are supposed to before this baby. This is going to be the one! Going to tell the inlaws family on Mothers Day. I'll be 6 weeks, 3 days. I have a four year old we will take a pic of holding a sign and wrap to give them.

I am! I have my 9w4d U/S on Monday and am going to frame the sonogram and put a little caption like "hello grandma" on it and wrap it up as one of my mom's gifts!
I was born on Mother's Day (it falls on my b-day every 7 years but not this year), so my mother, aunt, and sisters all go for brunch every year to celebrate Mother's Day and my birthday together. Needless to say it's going to be the most memorable year we do this, as long as everything is ok with the U/S on Monday!!!
I almost had to let the cat out of the bag at 6w when I nearly passed out and threw up :-$ when we all went to a local crafts fair at my alma mater.
I'm just praying everything looks good on Monday because I am so happy to be pregnant and this will be my mom's first grandchild. My 30th b-day is two days after Mother's Day so it's going to be a BIG week!

I plan on announcing to all parents and grandparents on mothers day when they are in groups of people. This is my third and it is unplanned and a total shock that I'm pregnant. But we really can't afford another one and my family voices their opinions well so I plan on doing it in a group setting so my mom doesn't flip out on me, lol.

I'd take the u/s to CVS or another local place after you edit it on the computer, something like "there's so much love there is two of us in here" or some other cute twin announcement on the sonogram.

My parents live long distance so I made them a video and a grandparent countdown on a chalkboard. I mailed it early and it's already arrived but they are waiting until Mother's Day to open it. It's killing me knowing it's there just waiting to be opened!!!

We are announcing Mother's Day too...we'll be 13 weeks on that day. Giving my MIL a pandora bracelet bead that says grandma with the baby's, his, and my birthstone and for my mom we're taking to an expensive brunch do beforehand we're going over with our pup and he'll be wearing a bandana announcement. We're so ready because we haven't told anyone..so everyone will know Mother's Day!!

I have my first U/S on Wednesday and I'll be 8 weeks + 5 days then. We are telling both of our parents on Mother's Day and I cannot WAIT! It'll be my DH parents first grandchild, and my parents 3rd grandchild. I got both sets of parents a little box with hand knit booties in there with a little envelope that reads "coming December 2015!" -- I can't wait to let this secret out, it's killing me! Our siblings will be out to dinner with us as well so we are telling everyone all together. My one sister lives in Australia so we are going to skype with her early AM so that she knows the same day as everyone else.

this is my first and my mother lives in ohio. I'm in AZ. I just ordered her a bunch of pregnancy announcement gifts relating to her being a grandma (picture frame, little keychain thing, a candle, a locket necklace that opens up and has a message saying congrats your going to be a grandma!. A shirt for my brother and little nephew saying he's going to be a cousin and uncle) I'm going to put a picture of my ultrasound in the frame and send it to her in a care package . But I'm going to make her wait until I skype with her to open it on mothers day

I'll be 6w6d on Mother's Day. Since its our first pregnancy, we want to tell our family right away. We are doing an outing as our celebration, so before we leave the house we will give both the grandma's-to-be Mother's Day cards that don't say "grandma" til they read the inside. I'm so excited to do something fun, instead of anxiously wait for my first Dr.'s appt. Just wish we had an ultrasound pic to go with the card.

We are having our U/S on Wednesday and if all goes well we are going to probably print ultrasound pics and tape them inside Mothers Day cards. This will be the first grandchild for both sets so I am SO excited and praying for a successful heartbeat. I love that our birth club gets to have Mothers Day to tell families ! So fun! I am 7 weeks 5 days.

We were going to tell my folks with the U/s picture, but the news slipped with my Mom....so we are going to surprise dad instead. Probably with a picture fram I will have to find after Tuesday when I know what size frame to look for! Hope all goes well since we had an m/c in November.

We are too. I will be 10w2d. We're putting the US picture in a picture frame with a little post-it or something that says "I'm 10 weeks old already!" I had a m/c in December early on so I want them to know right away that we're fairly far along into the first trimester.

Hi there! I will be 11.5 weeks, so will almost be to the second trimester. Both our parents and siblings know, but we will be announcing to my husbands extended family on mother's day. Very cute for his grandparents especially.

We will be 8wks 2days when we announce it to my sisters and my Husbands family. (My parents alread know) I ordered personalized cards. On the front it says roses are red violets are blue… on the inside it reads.. on december 18 a new baby is due. Happy mothers day! Cant wait to see their reaction!

Love it! We did a couple small regular gifts too for them to open first before the sign/frame "best parents get promoted to grandaparents". But I like the idea of adding the size of the baby too! Good luck! It will be a blast!

We are telling my MIL by sending her a Mother's Day card with the picture from the sonogram inside. Sadly my mom passed away when I was younger but I have already thought about how I'm going to tell my Dad. Just have to wait a few more weeks. It's so tough. He wears cowboy boots all the time and sadly is going through chemo righ now so we bought baby cowboy boots (so cute!) and are going to give him a box and say this is to keep him thinking of happy thoughts and being excited for what the future will bring. And when he opens the box it will say "I can't wait to follow in your foot step" with the mini cowboy boots and the sonogram inside a boot. So excited!!!!!
