@DaphneMoon1 That gif is perfection. I feel the same way!
We actually haven't started to talk about names since I've officially been pregnant. We have talked about it over the past year or so though so we do have some ideas. I don't think we will get serious about it until we know the sex.
For a girl we have liked Zoey.
For a boy I like Joseph (after my grandpa), but I would want to to call him Joey.
AND THEN...I realized should we eventually have a boy and a girl that their names would be Joey and Zoey. I can't. I can't do rhyming names!!! That is just not me. So that is my dilemma. I do know that no matter what if it is a boy I would like to use the middle name James, after my daddy!

Joseph James is a great name! I also like Zoey, but you're right Zoey and Joey :-q . Bummer.
We likely won't start thinking of names until we know the sex. Of course, I have to tell the DH that we are pregnant first.
<:-P
I tend to like more classic names, he prefers slightly more unusual names. I think it is because my name is slightly unusual and I hated it, and his is more classic and he hated it. What ya gonna do?
For a boy I would like Joseph as a middle name after my grandpa. Our first's middle name is after DH's grandpa, so it only seems fair.
Maybe we are weird, but DH and I thought of names well before even trying. We may or may not have been consuming some alcohol one night and drunkenly decided to go with a "Beatles" theme for our children. Turns out, even sober we like the idea!
My son (to my ex-husband) is Maxwell ... so that still works, because of the Beatles song.
So, for a boy? It's Jude Robert - My dad's name is Robert.
And for a girl? Eleanor Rose - My grandmother's name was Rosella.
Hopefully we don't keep having children and run out of themed names. lol!
DS Maxwell - 08/25/2009

MC - 05/15/15 & 7/29/15 & 11/25/15 (You were wished for, hoped for and loved)
For girls we have two names all set and ready: Melody Jade Rose Desirae
The two first names are in memory of my paternal grandfather: Melrose. He passed away before I was born. I am the only grandchild he didn't to meet DH picked the middle names to go with the two first names
For boys we are having a hard time with middle names, but we have two first names we like: Rikard Wallace
DH really wanted names that reflected his heritage, so Rikard is Danish/Finnish. He just really liked the sound of Wallace

My names change all the time. Right now I like Maeve, Isla or Poppy for a girl and Jackson, Tate or Wylie for a boy. So far the only names DH likes are Maeve and Tate. He says I can choose but often when I show him my lists he doesn't like many. Having a hard time with middle names.
That's it so far. LOL - I'm been more concerned with/dreaming of how to converting my DD's playroom into the nursery. I heart Pinterest. Oh, and how we will tell family and friends. My DH wants us to wait until after the 8 week appointment b/f family and 12 weeks everyone else.
We had our names picked out since our last pregnancy. A boy would be Matthew Alexander the 2nd. A girl will be Elizabeth Angela after to literary characters that we both love. Yes it is Elizabeth Bennet from pride and prejudice.
Our first was a boy, Daniel Patrick, our girl name we had picked out was Catherine Jeanne/Jean. Daniel is my FIL's name, Patrick is BIL's middle name. Catherine is DH's god mother/aunt who passed away a few months ago of breast cancer, Jeanne is my grandmother and Jean is DH's grandmother.
This pregnancy:
Girl: Catherine Jeanne/Jean/Margaret - I love the name Margaret and it's my dad's god mother's name.
Boy: still undecided but we both like Michael. I've always loved the name Cole but DH vetoed it with our first but I'll try again to get it for a middle name
We've had our girl name picked out since before we even started TTC and it's very special for us. Dolores June, we would call her Dee. Those are mine and DH's maternal grandmothers names. They were very special ladies who are no longer with us. My mom didn't become a SAHM till I was 3 and even then we would go hang out at my grandmas at least a few times a week. All my earliest memories are with her and it crushes me that she won't meet my baby, she passed away 5 yeas ago and was only 66 (don't smoke!!) I still cry every time I think about her. My husband had a similar bond with his grandmother, his mom worked nights and was a single mom so she was one of his primary care givers growing up.
Boys names are really hard for us.. We like Adam and Dean for first names (no meaning) and would use a family name for the middle -- John, Paul or Ronald. Also still toying with my husbands name John which I like because my husband goes by Jay so it wouldn't be like they're called by the same name.
Side note save by the bell gifs are just too good!!
We haven't really discussed names yet, but we have to find ideas that sound good both in French and English, because I'm a French speaker. I like the name Augustine for a girl though. :-)

Loving hearing everyone's name choices so far! I had been trying to convince myself that it was a little too early to start thinking of names but seeing everyone sharing their ideas made me think it's ok to start brainstorming
DH really likes Aiden Jackson (AJ) for a boy and so far I really like Kira Rae for a girl!
We have 2 boys now John Boone 'Boone' Carter Jones 'Carter' (All family names DH is John and Boone is my maiden name. Carter is DH grandmothers maiden name and Jones is my grandmothers)
So hoping for a girl... Because I am out of family boy names that I like! A girl will be Eugenie McDowell 'Gigi' (my grandmothers) Caroline David 'Caroline' (both our moms)
DH liked David for a boy (big family name for him but for whatever reason I'm not a fan) Joseph would be an obvious choice for us too my great grandfather and his grandfather but I just can't like it...
I love William but sadly it's not really a family name for us
Not sure that if we will be continuing with the accidental J theme or using something else. If we do use J's we will use Josephine or possibly Johanna or Joyanna. Josefina is my husband's dearly departed grandmother's name. For a boy, we really like Juan Luis as a double first name. Juan is my husband's name and his grandfather's name.
If we don't go with the J theme then we will most likely call her Isabelle or Isabella because we are both in love with that name and we love the meaning. We are also considering putting the two together and calling her Isabella Josephine. I know it's long but our last name is short. Also on the table are Isabella Katherine, Isabella/Isabelle Joy, Katherine Lucia, Vivienne Faith, Zola Evangeline, Felicity Katherine, and Ava Josephine. For a boy, we also like Victor Luciano and Alejandro Luis.
DH has had names picked out since before we met. Zoey for a girl (he's just liked the name since he was little). And Nick/Nicholas for a boy in honor of his best friend/cousin who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 21. I like them and don't have any strong feelings towards any names really. So we'll see! If it's a girl I'm thinking Zoey Lemon and I haven't come up with a middle name for a boy yet.
Gah! I love baby names, it's always the first thing I begin thinking about when I'm newly pregnant.
We already have 2 sons, so we've already gone through all the boys names that we like. I'm fairly sure that if this wee one is also a boy; he will be Leo Rhodes. Which translates to "a lion, where the roses grow."
Girls are a bit harder. Some top runners from my last pregnancy...
My partner and I have already picked out our names! Loralei Kate for a girl (Kate is my middle name and my partner and I thought it would be cute to pass down) and Liam Chandler for a boy ( Liam means strong warrior , we didn't know till we already chose but we love it) I'm so ecstatic to find out what we are having!!!!!

DH and I have had a girl named picked out since the week we met! Laura Michelle, it is both of our mothers names who have both passed on so it is very special to us. If we have another boy we will go with John after my father who passed in October. Not sure of a middle name yet though. Our first is Jesse Edward, Jesse was the only name we agreed on and Edward is my FILs name. I'm hoping for a girl this time though!
We've discussed names before I was even pregnant - we were waiting til after the wedding to conceive which was torture! DH is set on Abigail for a girl. I wasn't as keen but now I love it. We're gonna have am unusual middle name.
So - Abigail Valentina. I also love Melissa Eliana but that one will have to wait unfortunately. I'm also very tempted to add am extra middle name. Because I'm nothing if not extravagant. How does Abigail Valentina Grace sound?
We're not as sure for a boy, our current favourite is Emrys, we do like Asher and I really Matthew too.
It's so fun looking at names! I do sometimes think whoa this is a lot of responsibility I mean naming a human?! Lol.
We (I? ) have a couple pages of name ideas written down (you know, all spelled out and in cursive!). I'm leaning toward Alexandra or Sarah for a girl and Joshua or Daniel for a boy. I am not keen on family names but DH is wanting to include his fathers name Stuart if it's a boy. I just ordered a reverse dictionary name book so I am excited to browse by name meaning instead of alpha!

We don't have any names that have special meaning. DH and I have a really hard time agreeing on names. I like classic names. He likes trendy.
For girls we have two names all set and ready:
Melody Jade

Girl - June (we are about 99% set)
Boy - Joseph (Joey)

We are thinking the middle name will be Patrick whether we have a boy or not. My DH's younger bro died when he was 19 so we want to honor him.
DH really likes Aiden Jackson (AJ) for a boy and so far I really like Kira Rae for a girl!
Just need to come up with a few more ideas now!
Zara or
Dalia
Girl: Jane Everly, I loved Elodie as a first name, but husband vetoed it.

Cohen Flynn
We both agree and have a C name thing.
Elonah [3], Bentley [1]
Girl is going to be harder but I'm sure it us going to be fun!
John Boone 'Boone'
Carter Jones 'Carter'

Carter is DH grandmothers maiden name and Jones is my grandmothers)

Boy- Benjamin Atticus (Benjamin after my father & Atticus I'm sure you can guess ;-) )
Girl- Charlotte and for middle name I'm thinking Beatrice after MIL who passed away in Oct. if not will go with Reese.
And for a girl Emma Grace.
Calvin Zeke
Boy: Arthur or Milo
