Managed not to take heartburn medicine all day yesterday, so I could take it right before bed. Finally slept better last night than the rest of the week. Phew!
Heyooooo my 4am ladies, wassup? I just had a weird ass dream about daycare and there was a medical marijuana rep teaching the kids about it. Not sure what's up in my head...
TTC: 1/2014
BFP: 9/24
EDD: 6/8/2015
Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
I'm just up and decided to watch greys anatomy. Poor decision. @dancegurl1118 that dream sounds hilarious ! Send your funny sandman my way! I'm getting hungry.... And at this time of night I only make bad choices.... Cupcakes stay away !
The nightmares are unreal. I just can't go to sleep over the last one...it was about CPS taking my children away. I literally feel sick over these nightmares I've been having lately.
Insomnia here too. But over the last day I've been developing flu like symptoms. Super nauseous, an actual stomach ache, diarrhea, and a head ache. I want to just sleep it off but I feel so shitty that I can't fall asleep. I'm not sure if I should call my OB since this is so sudden or wait it out.
I heard there was an insomnia party so I thought I'd just stay up since my last trip to the bathroom so I could join y'all. Good morning and happy May Day! The swelling of the feet has started, glorious! Thank god it's right around flip flop season. Also TMI, but sweating so much in my vaginal area it's starting to give me what my husband so delicately calls "swamp ass". Given...I've been much more active this last week, but this is down right ridiculous. Also the numbness saga in my hands continues. \:D/
It seems that 4 am is the magic number, I woke up at 4:16 and I laid awake contemplating whether or not to go downstairs and pour me a bowl of fruity pebbles...during my thought process I fell back asleep, but most nights this week the fruity pebbles have won. Like most of you, I'd rather have baby here to keep me up at night instead of this insomnia

Happy Friday and MAY!!
What are you taking? What works? Was standing at CVS staring at all the meds last night trying to search the board to see what's working for people but heartburn is mentioned about 5 million times! Gave up and went home to bed.
Low grade nauseous all the time now. I am getting pretty used to it but a smell set me off at work around 3 and the nausea seemed to develop into raging heartburn. Ended up going home. Made it to 35 weeks but I think I need to pull the plug on my 10 hour Thursday shift. I like to think I can do everything pregnant, but nope.
@henrytviii I was recommended zantec by several of the lovely ladies on here and it has worked beautifully for me! Hope you feel better soon!
On that topic, I actually woke up with heartburn this morning - I forgot to take zantec last night but just had some now so hopefully that will help. Baby has yet to kick this morning, which is unusual for her, but I've only been up an hour so I'm hoping it's just that she's still tired from me being too active at my internship last night. Start moving, baby!
ETA I poked at her a bit and she kicked back we're all good!
@lovethatcolosun re: swamp ass - gold bond spray is wonderful. As in life changing wonderful if needed.
Feeling good today - just ravenous as it seems I've been for the past week. I'm getting stir crazy and ready to be out of this hospital bed - T-minus 6 days until delivery day!!
I was able to get back to sleep around 3:30 after using the bathroom ... Twice. And I really needed food but DH has been sweetly sleeping on the couch the last 2 nights to give me some space and I didn't want to go into the kitchen and possibly wake him up. Just as I was about to sleep baby started having crazy hiccups and the followed up by a boxing session versus my insides. She wants to be the undercard for Pacquiao/Mayweather.
@henrytviii Make sure to get Zantac 150, not the lower 75 dose. It's awesome.
@obryana6219 I also started having nausea and bowel issues this week - "bubble guts" as DH would call it - it's annoying but I'm considering it non-alarming, but that's just for me. And I have a doc appt shortly where I'll ask about it. But if anything feels not normal to you there's def no harm in calling your doc!
Does anyone else have serious tightness in their stomach? I associated it with Braxton Hicks after my last conversation with my Dr. Lately its almost all the time! If I lay down and relax its goes away but sitting up straight or walking around its tight tight tight! Oh, and most of the time its not the entire thing it just my right side and part of my left.....no pain or cramping just tight.
@JKTitus14 yep, BH! Kind of uncomfortable but not painful... I've had 2 non-BH contractions so far and THOSE are another story! I'm sure that the 2 that I had were very mild in comparison to when I'll actually be in labor, too, so I'm definitely starting to get nervous. I think I see an epidural in my future...
@laurendutch I'm so sorry about your nightmares! In my first trimester I had some crazy ones that made me not even want to sleep... It's so terrible and unsettling!
@JKTitus14 YES with the tightness! It's so uncomfortable and feels as though I'm holding a sit-up. The doctor said it's my uterus contracting but it's strange because I don't always feel pain with it. I can't wait to have a normal feeling in my belly and to be able to just lay on it! Lol I'm ready to hold my baby girl in my arms instead of my belly that's for sure.

Am not in the US but think you can get it - am taking Gaviscon. Others here have recommended Prevacid.
You wild women should have told me about the 4am party!! Oh wait i fell asleep at 9pm then back up at 11 and out cold till 6. Don't get me wrong, i love the extra ZZZZs but i seriously feel like I wake up, go to work, come home, eat and go to bed. Hate when i feel like all my waking hours are wasted! Maybe i should have joined the late night party.
Plus had tacos last night. Tacos + passing out shortly after means the feeling of hot sauce in my throat. Thank you zantac!! Stop suffering heartburn victims!! It's been a game changer for me.
I'm bummed I missed out on the insomnia party, too. I was up at 4am, even, and almost bumped, but was like 'don't pick up that phone, Mel...you'll never put it back down again'.
Still struggling with the half life of this cold. Have a drs appointment this afternoon - guess what's on my agenda to discuss?
i was up most the night thinking I was going to throw up or have diarrhea. I guess I shouldn't have had that late night peanut butter bagel. Oh, and I had Taco Bell for dinner. Maybe I should start watching what I eat...
Also, I spoke too soon on the wedding ring thread. I was able to pry it off this morning, but I don't think I should put it back on. Looks like I'm going to play at being an unwed mother :>
No new symptoms here, but I did call the doctor this morning and was told I could use prep h for this hemroid so I'm off to the pharmacy after work. Had this worked for anyone?
Boo! I missed the party, I was up tossing and turning all night. As I've said in the past, DH is the enemy of sleep. This time it wasn't the TV but rather blanket hogging and alligator rolls. I love that man to death, but sometimes I swear he's trying to make me go mad. Other symptoms for today include: mild appetite loss (looks like I will be force feeding myself again), achy hips and a puffy face, hands and toes....Fun stuff.
Holy mother of migraines, PLEASE make it stop!!! Slept great last night for the 1st time in a while only to wake up with a raging migraine. I haven't thrown up in 2 hours, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
@mellymar Let us know what the doc says about your cold.
@frakengibbs Eat up, mama!! Hope your appetite increases soon.

Im the same way! I had my first non BH yesterday! I wasn't a happy camper ! I always said I'm going to go as far as I can without an epidural...but seeing how I was such a puss yesterday. I see myself asking for one as soon as I get to the hospital! Lol
@ngaines27 sorry to hear about your headache - I hate headaches! So terrible! Hope it goes away soon!
Doc basically told me to suck it up with regards to the cold. Well, not really, but he said that there is a cruddy cold going around, and even in non-pregger people its a real hanger-on (weeks). He gave the OK to double my benadryl (it seems to be most helpful for the nasal drip), and went back over the meds its safe for me to take, and told me that if I hadn't improved some more by middle of next week to call them. Apparently the textbook for this bug is just like I have described... Really crappy for a couple of days to a week (last Thursday to this Wednesday) then better than before, but not *better*, for a couple of days to a week (this Wednesday thru now into next week), then again incrementally better... You get me. So, basically - suck it up. :-@
ETA good news is I'm pretty much done working, so I will be able to rest. Oh, and also apparently my pulse was really fast last week (140) and 'normal fast' today (94) so next time I go in I have to have them check it again
@mellymar a pregnant woman sucking it up?!? Makes me laugh! I cannot suck it up..... The hormones make that downright impossible! Good luck !
He was actually really nice about it. I could tell he felt bad that I was feeling crummyish but he didn't feel that I needed antibiotics, and I don't really think so either (not any more, anyway). Since I keep making these little jumps back toward normal every few days, and compared to Monday / Tuesday I feel better (not great, but those days were terrible and these are just... Bleh), I think he would give me some RX meds if I asked and pushed, but if I could 'suck it up' and hold on... Probably better.
I do NOT want to be sick come June, tho. It starts looking like that and I'll raging bitch mode, engaged on them and demand ALL the meds
Re: Daily Symptoms Fri 5/1
Happy Friday and MAY!!
i got some really itchy feet which is giving me restless legs.
I'm getting hungry.... And at this time of night I only make bad choices.... Cupcakes stay away !
