I've been going to a birthing center for my prenatal care and I've loved it so far. I'm 4 months along. I have really bad allergies and feel like I need a breathing treatment (which happens every year, nothing new for me.) When I called my primary care physician, they said they wouldn't treat me because I was pregnant. They suggested urgent care or the ER. Is this a normal problem? Where do people who are using midwifes go when they need medical treatment? This also happened to me at a Walgreen's clinic when I was in my first trimester and had a sinus infection.
