Ofcourse I failed the 1 hours Sugar test...again

Just got a call back from the Drs office and my number was 155. I'm not even going to bother with the 3 hour test, as I had failed it with my first 2 pregnancies and know that I will fail it again this time around...so the Dr wants me to test my sugar levels 4 times a day, fasting to be under 95 and two hours after a meal to be under 145. Going on a strict diet starting now...wish me luck!

    Good luck!

    Thank you! :)

Also you should ask if you can get an arm tester. It's less of a hassle, and your fingers don't suffer nearly as much.

Thank you, I will definitely look into it :) Anything to make things less painful...not looking forward to all the poking.

Oh no, I will say though I had the same thought, had GD with my first, my 1 hour this time was 171! and I am having twins so that puts me at higher risk. I really didnt want to take the 3 hour, but so glad I did, as I passed this time!

That's awesome news, I'm so happy for you :) I just cant go through it again, the 3 hr test was pure torture! I'd rather go on a no carb, no sweets diet and poke fingers for the next 2 1/2 months.
  • Carbs are fine in moderation, your body needs them. My dietician made that pretty clear. I'm allowed 30 carbs per meal and 15 for snack. I have to be under 90 for fasting and 120 or under two hours after a meal. I haven't been so start insulin next week when I meet with the endocrinologist
