I have been dwelling on this for weeks. I use Facebook a lot and have a lot of people in the community, and old friends I will inform with a post. I love love love looking at unique and cute announcements. However, my husband and I are not super sweet and cute kind of people so while I LOVE looking at these pictures, whenever I think of ones for us to do it doesn't seem authentic to us. We have been together since high school (almost 12 years!) and I know people are going to be thrilled we are finally having a baby, so I want it to be clear what is being announced, but also true to us. My most recent idea is simply posting the ultrasound pic we have taken in a few weeks with the status, "So, we're having a kid."
I feel like it's unique because of how simple it is and kind of funny (at least with our humor) because of how blunt it is, especially considering how long we've been together without having kids.
I'm going to be a single mom and I'm also a very simple person. I don't have a bunch of shoes to line up or anything like that so I just ordered this cute shirt from etsy and I'm going to post a picture wearing it while holding a pink and a blue balloon
This is how we announced to the facebook world. We wanted our dogs to be a part of the announcement but they are all under the age of 2 so it's hard to get them to sit still for the photos. So we did this instead.
We just posted ours this past Friday. When we got engaged I started out with "first comes love and 3yrs later comes marriage...we're engaged!" So I wanted to continue what I started.
I posted this as a cover photo a few weeks ago. Darn, I don't know why it isn't posting the whole image. On the right side DS had a sign saying "we have" and on the left it cut off DD with a sign saying "#3"
We announced on Tuesday and then I immediately began panicking that I "jinxed" it because I feel great. This pregnancy might just be the death of my sanity...
We had to be careful because this is my first but my guy has a son that stays with us - wording was tricky so we didn't imply or ignore anyone. I feel in love with this from Etsy, didn't want to buy it ($15 for a digital image??) so I just got around to replicating it to post.
