Noooo... I went 42 weeks with my first, had it scheduled to get induced on a Monday and Sunday water broke but still took over 24 hours with pitocin to actually deliver. Am really hoping this one happens sooner (37 weeks 3 days today)
I had my daughter at 38w3d. I started drinking red raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil and ate lots of pineapple starting around 37 weeks though cause I was trying to avoid being induced at 39 weeks. It worked I guess! Or she was just ready to come 11 days early. we'll see what my little man is planning on doing!
My water broke on my due date. The doctor on call was very rude and told me " Just because its your due date doesn't mean your going to have your baby then".
GGGRRRRR!! They checked me and in fact, my water did break. Jerk!!

What does the evening primrose oil do? I read that pregnant women shouldn't take it. For risk of complications?
38 wks. I was induced because of preeclamapsia. I felt fine but the baby was in distress. Labor was about 10 hours but delivery only 10, 15 minutes tops. She came out alert and perfectly healthy.
My first was born at 41 wks and I think 5 days don't remember exactly. He had no plans of coming out either I was induced and labor was 2 days long! :-S
Wow as a FTM I didn't really know most people tend to go to 40 weeks. Hahaha I'm 36w4d and 2cm dilated. Lost plug I think. Had some bloody discharge after internal exam on Monday and was suddenly overwhelmed by realization that she could come anytime now! But reading this maybe she will stick around for a bit longer. Haha kind of cool to see everyone's first time numbers.
39 weeks and 3 days via csection. He was over 10lbs with no intention of coming out anytime soon. I bet I would have went at least another week. Never even had a contraction.

Yes I thought the same as you! Be patient.. I've been dilated 2cm for 3 weeks now. My due date is Saturday. I drove myself crazy that first week I found out I was dilated because I got my hopes up! I know we are soo ready!! Good luck!
