We have gone by the week and size... last week was Johnny Appleseed... this week has been Sweet Pea or just Pea... next week we'll think of something new to match the size comparison! I think we'll continue with this until it actually looks like a baby, haha.

When Drew Barrymore found out she was pregnant, they told her it was the size of an olive (which is today for me according to the bump at 9w) and she named her baby Olive because they used it as a nickname and it stuck!

My DH is a huge Trekkie, so we're calling the baby the Little Ensign. We even announced with a Christmas cap and Next Generation uniform onesie. Gotta love nerds? LOL

We just say "the baby" for the moment. With my son, I always called him "Sprout" while I was pregnant. I still call him that and he's almost 2 years old!

Well, "the baby" gained a new nickname today because my sister saw a pic from my IVF transfer. Now she (and everyone else it would seem) are going with Bubble or Bubbles.

My husband has a new name for the baby every day. It was "Jimmy" then "Stevie" then "Lizzy" then "Leonaitus".

He leans more towards boy names because "only men come from his loins".

I can't make this stuff up lol I guess I did marry him for his sense of humor haha

Our nn for baby is "smalls"... my husband was a big sandlot fan. The other day though my husband came up with Jabbi. Since we don't know if boy (Jackson ) or a Girl (Abigail) he did a celebrity match up with baby name selection. Which I thought was pretty cute.

@kmac103 oh my word. Thatbis exactly what my hubby says. No way he can father agirl. He jokes that he will need a paternaty test if its a girl. We've named it The Minion though and the family has really gone with it. Have a range of minion related gifts already.

My cousin and his wife called theirs sheepy. It was weird at first but for her first Halloween she was a lamb. We have so many names. The fruit of the week, baby, or like others when I am sick the human I am growing. When I get weird cravings it is always foods that he loves so I say your baby.

We call ours Banana. When we first started trying we joked that we will name our kid something unique, easy to spell, and easy to say...like banana! We really aren't naming the little one that, but that'll be the name until we find out the gender!

Our baby is Thing 2, to complement Thing 1 (currently crashed on my lap). Thing 1 was known as Squirt and then Buddy (like Hey Buddy, stop punching Mommy in the cervix, please). Buddy isn't his name, but I still call him that sometimes.
