I went to see my horse yesterday and he was unusually interested in my stomach. He kept trying to nuzzle it and blow on it. And he was trying to lick my cheek. And Beau has never been an affectionate sort of guy. Must be the hormones because I'm showing, but not that much yet.
Ok, yes, I've already posted about my dog, but she's become even more protective since I posted and I'm obsessed with this thread. My hubby snapped a pic of her suffocating me with her love yesterday in bed and I had to share. She's either laying on me, sitting at my feet, or at the front window guarding the house. I love it!! And I love ALL of your animals too. So amazing. Please keep sharing!!
Well I seem I can't upload my picture of my doggies... But I have a 8-9 yr old chiuhauha and a 9-10 yr old pitbull my chi knows I am; she normally doesn't like being with me ,but now she's closer to me!!! Which makes me be happy
Don't mind the pregnant sleepy mom face ( or you could say morning grump) but I'm pretty sure our boy knows . Still wild but has been super Clingy. I must always be insight and he must be touching me
We've noticed the past couple of weeks that our Alaskan Malamute - Mia, has really changed towards me. She now sleeps on the floor next to me, she never ever sleeps there, it's always the bathroom floor as the tiles keep her cool. She's following me round the house and keeps rooing at me, it's like she's trying to talk to me lol.
I googled it and apparently dogs DO know when your pregnant, they don't know your having a baby, but they pick up on the change in your hormones, they can smell it apparently.
I can tell she sees me as vulnerable, the way she moves about round me is very protective. I love it! She's adorable, big teddy bear who's just smiled at me as I've come in. Her nose goes all wrinkly on one side and half her teeth show, all that with a sleep face. God love her.
Ahh this is like the best thread! It's probably tmi but after we tried back in December there was a point where I was laying under the covers with my hips elevated and my partner was playing guitar and my dog jumped up on the bed with no invitation (something that's a big no no and she knows it) and curled up next to me with her head on my stomach. It was a sweet moment but I think since then she decided she doesn't care that I'm pregnant! She's just been her usual lovey, lazy self.
She's had one of her weirder behaviour quirks crop up, but we've been working with her and she's fine (it's the dorkiest thing but we'll ask her if she wants to go outside and she just freezes up and panics, then climbs in her kennel like she just got yelled at).
Anyway she's a nine year old, 80lb boxer/herding mutt who has the soul of a fat lazy house cat. All she's done since the day she was born is sleep and cuddle.
My dog, Mouse, refuses to leave my side. He's really protective of me and it's an absolute catastrophe if I go and get the mail by myself! He's really gentle with my toddler and I know he's going to love herding the new baby (he's a German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix).
I don't think my cats care whatsoever haha but over my friends house their dog totally knows! Made me tear up actually. She's a very hyper and jumpy golden lab, she usually jumps on me when I walk in the door, but the last time I went over she walked up, smelled my belly and sat quietly next to me the entire time I was there! Wouldn't leave my side!
This is my stray cat that is constantly trying to bring me rodents ever since I found out I was pregnant. My vet said cats have a good sense of pregnancy and naturally show concern for your need for food, haha! He cries at my bedroom window with a gopher in his mouth every.single.day!!!!! Get away from me, I'm not hungry hahahaha
That is so hilarious, and so gross! What a sweet stray :-) We used to live next to this feral cat population and my dog loooved making friends with them.
My dog has always been a Velcro dog, he's more clingy I guess. He has calmed down a bit. I'm worried about him getting jealous of a baby! He's always been the center of attention (we foster and have cats)!
That cat with the smooshy face, oh my goodness I want him!! I had a gorgeous persian for years and his was the flattest face I had ever seen, but your little fluff ball is adorable!
Our puppy Libby (half frenchie half Boston terrier) won't nap anywhere besides on my lap or curled up against my belly and now our cat Ally who normally runs from the puppy jumps on my lap and insists on laying across my belly. They're nuts! But I love it
@mrscaterosales Awww Yano, we wouldn't swop her for the world. She's a proper 'pack' dog, (ever watched 8 Below?) she knows when one of us is away for a few days as her mood changes, she becomes more withdrawn, or if Liam is poorly, she lies on the floor next to his bed, she'll stay there all night. she knows us all so well and watches our every move.
I'd never have another breed of dog, ever. I've always grown up with dogs, but not one like our Mia, she's amazing, such a huge part of our little, soon to be expanding family :-)

She sounds wonderful! I love 8 Below, such a great movie. My husband wanted to get one and name her Mia based on the movie haha, but at this point we have our hands full!
My dog Chloe has been my best little buddy since we lived alone while she was a puppy and I was in grad school. Now we live with my husband who she's usually attached to because he's the one that feeds her. But lately...she's glued to me. Won't go for walks without me. She will dig her nails into the ground and pull so hard to get to me. I wake up in the night and she's sleeping on my shoulder. Lol I love my girl though!!
Our care Bear just wants us to keep hugging him. I think he knows. He's been very cuddly these past 4 months.. he's an Akita/Alaskan malamute mix and 130 lbs, but thinks he's a lap dog.. /:)
@Mehilovna that heart on his chest is absolutely to die for!!!!! I have 4 large dogs (two huskies and two large mixes 80-100lbs). I love my big cuddly care bears! :x they've been all extra cuddly as well. My female husky is my BABY, I have her paw print tattooed on my wrist, but she's never really been a "cuddler" until that last couple of months. Now she's all over me. It's pretty sweet. My boys usually are the cuddle butts. She's also been more vocal (talking/howling). My dogs are my first children. I love them so much! Both of our little ones will have awesome protectors and companions >-
I have three pups 2 chihuahuas and a shar pei French mastiff mix. The only one who seems to know is the shar pei. She has been soon clingy since I was about 10 weeks. I love her but she is driving me a little crazy and has started to growl at people walking by the window! The good thing is I'm sure she'll be just as protective over baby which makes me feel safe, I have some strange neighbors.. Will post pictures when I get home.

Oh he's so gorgeous @Mehilovna . My boxer thinks she's a lap dog too and if you don't let her sleep on your lap she bows her head all depressed haha.
@Cuppycakes21 That cute smile your corgi has, oh my goodness!
@mrscaterosales - Bear wants to hold hands. He'll lay next to you and huff and puff until you put your hand down, then he puts his paw in your hand. He's an adorable giant
Our cat, Cheeto, definitely knows something is up! He hated snuggling before but now that's all he does! If I'm sitting, he's on my lap. He has even started sleeping on top of me (or on my body pillow) every night!
This is my little man, Louie in his halloween costume. He definitely knows. He sleeps curled up to my belly when I'm on my side. He's the absolute best dog!
Our boys definitely know something is up! They are the loves of our lives so of course we had to include them in our announcement! They just can't wait until our little one is throwing food all over the place - they will be the happiest clean up crew ever!

Oh gorgeous pups! And what a cute announcement ;-)
I can't tell if my dogs can tell. They haven't really done anything specific (they are always pretty cuddly) and I thought my one dog would get more protective, but I brought him to a lacrosse game on Saturday and he was running up to people, instead of protecting me. I was happily surprised. I do need to work on them walking on the leash though because they can both pull me down if they want to.
Beef is a St Bernard/English Mastiff (4) and Baine is a NeapolitanMastiff/Bull Mastiff (2)
My baby girl seems to know something is differently. I think i must smell different cause she definitely sniffs me inappropriately more than she ever did pre-pregnancy. She's already a mama's girl and is now just glued to me more. She's a Vizsla and lab mix name Holly.
@hrossi253 I have a black German shepherd too!! The second pic is from our gender reveal
Edit: I don't think he knows yet, but he is already very protective so that's probably a good thing haha
Blacks are the best! lol, minus the shedding ugh. Mine are just crumb lickers...the LOOOOOVE my toddler, he's like an endless snack machine for them haha
My 3 year old half lab/ half golden retriever definitely knows. He was glued to my hip before and now he's become even more of a shadow! Here he is snuggling with his baby brother/ or sister (we find out today which one!)

Glad you have such an amazing little family!

Our Mia sleeps like that too lol. Didn't realise such big dogs would sleep on there backs, legs akimbo haha.
