Hi ladies, I was diagnosed with Preeclampsia at 25 weeks due to 1 high bp reading 148/80, and 350 mg of protein in my urine. I was sent to the hospital for observation. My bp has been normal and the blood work came back good. I am now at 29 weeks and feel great, however the protein in my urine has gone up to 500mg. Blood work, bp and baby are all good. My Dr. scared me by saying I will more than likely have to deliver at 34 weeks if I make it that long. I am so scared! I was hoping since it is mild so far I could make it to 37 weeks. Anyone else go through this? I would appreciate any advice/experiences from other women with this condition. I am very upset with how my Dr is communicating with me. Please help.
Re: Preeclampsia Diagnosis at 25 weeks
I'm high risk for pre-eclampsia but have a whole range of possible concerns that they are keeping an eye on. IUGR etc.
It's so scary and disheartening. I'm 26 weeks ATM and my doctors want me to make it to 30 weeks. Once I'm past 30 it's likely that they'll induce me at any point.
I totally get it. The doctors are just doing their job but not knowing which way things are going to go and if they are going to suggest an early induction and bubs health and your own hanging in the balance...so much extra worry.
Stay strong!!!

My doctors told me i have preeclampsia due to high protein in my urine when I was 23 weeks. It was 500 or 550. My blood pressure so far have been normal. Only when I get nervous does it go up a little. For the most part it's always 113/66. I am currently 28 weeks 1 day. My doctor told me she has seen women with high protein make it a long time before even getting any high blood pressure reading. Trust me I know how scary and frustrating this is. I keep praying I get a few more weeks so my twins are nice and healthy. Good luck.
With my most recent pregnancy I developed high BP at 24 weeks and had a +2 protein count at my appt (2so 24w5d) so I was put on BP meds again and did labwork. My 24-hour collection put my protein at 1314 mg. I did some reading and found out about the renal diet which may help proteinuria so I've been following that. I did a follow 24-hour collection 1 week later and managed to drop my protein to 400 mg so we're going to wait to do another check-up at my next appt (6/2).
I want to mention that the main reason my OB has been comfortable just monitoring is because my bloodwork has been perfect each time. I am hoping to make it to 40 weeks again this time
Anyway, just wanted to give my experience. I hope all of you have a H&H 9 months!
Still going strong at 34+4 and my BP has yet to be high. My only symptom so far has been 500mg of protein in my urine. I am so happy that I have made it past the 34 week goal and hope to keep going all the way to 37 weeks. As long as everything stays the same my Dr. plans to induce me on 6/16. I am so nervous about the whole induction process, but can't wait to meet my DD.
