How do you refer to your LO?

I hear so many little pet names for the LOs we are creating and I find them so cute! What do you call your little one? What about your DH?

I still just say baby. I havent found a pet name that sticks yet. I told DH the other day about some of the cute names I hear - blip, bean, etc - and his response was "let's use Spawn."

No, sir, no we will not.

He was joking but I wanted to punch him.

    Spawn is ok!! It's cute and funny! At least he didn't say lets call it "little shit" LOL

    For me, once I know the sex I will probably call him/her prince or princess. I wouldn't dare ask my husband, he's got a messed up sense of humor that irritates me lately.

    Dh keeps calling it baby appleseed- because we started out calling it by what it was the size of each week. It seems baby Apple seed stuck though :)

    Well, I've been using blob or kid, or "the little human I'm making". Nothing seems to stick just yet, but I think it's sort of a defense mechanism after two losses.

    My fiancé has some sort of Native Indian in his blood so he's dark skinned. No offense to anyone who is Hispanic but I tease and call him a Mexican all the time, and I told him he's a bean planter and this will be our little brown pinto bean :p

    I just say baby, baby #2, or #2.....lol I feel like I had more cute names for my first...this time I don't have as much time to think about this pregnsncy...I'm chasing after a 1 year old!

    We usually call it Baby. Sometimes though, depending on how rough the nausea waves are, I call it "The Baby That's Gonna Kill Me." Is that bad? >-)

    We already have one girl and one boy name picked out. So depending on how I'm feeling that day, I'll call it by one of the names. :)

    Mine is squirt. Even my parents started using it. Boyfriend wasnt thrilled by the name at first but now he's warming to it. My dad calls it his tiny friend since my niece is his little friend and my nephew is his littler friend (he was littlest not no more)

    Ours is Lentil, which was one of the early size comparisons, and so cute that it stuck! As another mama-to-be had mentioned, we also have a boy and girl name picked out, so sometimes I use one of those.

    We say sprout or bean, but when I'm feeling particularly sick, I may refer to baby as "creature." :/

    Haha I kind of like "spawn"!

    My DH is Italian so I have been calling it "lil bambino" :) Our cat is named Cannoli so it fits the theme

    We have names picked out, but I feel strange calling my belly one of the names. We decided to wait and call him or her by their name when they're born, and for now call them "Baby Last Name" or the size of whatever week we're at... This week it's Baby Sweet Pea!

    My dh calls ours the little lizard. He's given all of our kids animal nicknames, so I guess he's just going with that theme. :)

    We call our Baby B, or bee. I have the feeling if it's a girl she may have a lot of bumblebee clothing if I can find it! Lol

    I usually say "little bit". I've also been trying out calling her "Isabel" because that's the name we are leaning toward. Sometimes "little Izzy".

    My 1st born was Scooter when I was pregnant. My dad came up with that because I rented a scooter and went riding around the Fl Keys at 5 months pregnant. No name as of yet for this one, but I'm sure it will work it self out soon!

    We've named babies after their first ultrasound pics. #1 looked like a Heffalump (Winnie the pooh) so we called her lumpy. We joked that #2 looked like a duck-billed platypus, so we called her ducky. We'll know on the 29th what this one will be called.

    My ultrasound tech called the baby a bean, but my dachshunds name is Beans, so I laughed.. Can't use that in my house!
