This may come off a little gloaty, but I just have to share the wonderful things my DH has done for me. I understand a lot of us are feeling down, and especially frustrated with the people around us (I totally get it!) but I'd also like an outlet to post our praise for those who are helping us.
Yesterday, DH weeded the front and back yards, bought me Mother's Day and birthday gifts (a panini press so I can have sandwiches and a bar cart!), trimmed my junk (with his electric razor!), and massaged my lower back. He's constantly offering to bring me a fan or help with any aches and pains. He's been a real trooper and we're not even halfway through yet!
So share your positive DH/SO (or other family/friends) stories!
Re: Praise for your DH/SO
Yesterday, my husband restored order to this corner of the house that was in complete chaos. It was a big undertaking! I was so so overwhelmed by it and he knew that and it looks awesome now!
On top of that, I started to get mad at him bc I thought it was SexyTime. I sat there, fuming, "look at him...doing anything else other than foreplay with me." Then I plotted what I was going to say to him.
We ended up having a really, really, really good and necessary conversation (cleared the air completely) and then had WILD RIDICULOUS I CANT BELIEVE HE LOVES ME THIS MUCH kind of sex.
The whole night, I've just been starry eyed, looking at him, like a teenager, thinking "I can't believe he loves me this much!"
His patience with my love for food has just gone over his head, he doesn't say what he fancies for dinner, he asks me what I want.
I love our fish tank, we take great pride in looking after it and all our different types we have in there (it's a BIG tank) so today, he took our son out whilst I was in bed. (Before he went out he brought me breakfast in bed, along with my pregnancy vits & a nice hot cup of sweet decaf tea - heaven.)
Returned with 4 new fish for our tank. :-) bought all the food for our roast dinner tonight, and some amazing fizzy grape juice for me, he likes to have a few beers on a Sunday, so that's my replacement, which is fine by me!
He cleans and tidies the house, does his own washing, even when he's been working all day. I do do my bit by the way. I just can't lug the hoover up and down the stairs anymore and bending over is becoming more difficult each day.
He's forever cuddling me and telling me how beautiful I look, even when I feel like shit lol.
I get little gifts through the post that he's ordered online and doesn't tell me. Things like new earrings even though he hates my piercings haha. He's ordered maternity clothes for me, and yesterday he came in with 2 pairs of flip flops and some new trainers, as I'd mentioned earlier in the week that my feet were swelling.
He's just ace. He's always been very caring and considerate, but since I'm pregnant he's going way beyond the call of duty.
God love him.
:x
We're cleaning the house this weekend before I get too pregnant to do a massive clean like we're doing now and he's been making sure that I don't push myself or lift anything heavy.
Everyday he comes home he kisses me then kisses the baby. He does the same thing in the morning if we wake up around the same time.
When I started coming down with my cold, he came out to my job with medicine while he was running a work errand.
That's all I got right now. All in all I'm so blessed to have him as my husband.
my car battery has been dying and yesterday it went completely dead so he went out, picked me up a new one, and installed it for me. Then in the evening he took me out for dinner and a movie at a small little theater with leather reclining loveseats! It was heaven. He also got me a 3 month early birthday present this week, my first dslr camera! He's been extra sweet lately since the first 4 months of my pregnancy were a nightmare.
Now, he is super duper proud of himself when he does things and the more I affirm him, the better he gets.
I'm still laughing at your quote and emoticon!! Teach that man how to love you, Momma!
He always talks to me before making decisions like hanging out with the guys. I'm not an afterthought in that. He always tells them, "Let me talk to Joy first" and sometimes he gets teased (cracking whip sound from the guys) but everyone knows I'm the cool wife and I rarely ever say no (and if I do it's for a legitimately good reason).
It's the small things, for sure. I have to applaud OP's husband for mowing her lawn. I couldn't get my DH to shave my calves, let alone that region.
He's been working a lot to help me pay off student loans which is awesome and he lies in bed with me at night and watches the weekly update video on the Bump to see how baby is cooking.
Along with @WDDCH he never goes out without checking with me and never stays out long. I never even enforced that rule, but he says he would want the same courtesy from me so he wants to give it, which is so sweet.
Love that man!

He works so much and I take care of everything on the Homefront as well as working part time. He tells me not to worry about anything when I go on unpaid leave for ?(who knows how long)? He says "I got you."
One of my favorite parts is how much he compliments my changing looks and calls me sexy and gorgeous etc
Then the other night he said, "This baby is going to be so lucky to belong to us. There's so much love in this house." Melt....
I only work part time, so I had a big burst of energy and cleaned the downstairs yesterday. We're not a shoes off in the house family (wood floors and we live in the country, so I just sweep a lot), but when I jokingly told him he might need shoes to go to work, he said he was waiting to put them on until he left so he wouldn't mess up my cleaning.
He cooks all three meals, does all of our laundry, and cleans. Whenever I need something he volunteers to go get it and usually comes back with two other things I've mentioned recently. He puts up with my crazy mood swings and still loves me and baby girl 100%
If he treats our daughter half as good as he treats me she will be one lucky gal.
