So I went for an US yesterday to check fluid/size and was told that everything looks great, then she mentioned that the baby is breech. I asked if that is a problem and she said no. I don't actually get to see my dr til next Friday & now I am kind of freaking out. I know that many healthy babies are born breech by c-sect and I know that I am only 23 weeks along but I don't know what the likelihood is that the baby will turn around & I'm terrified that if it does turn it will wrap the umbilical cord around it's neck. I am just wondering if most babies are breech at some point b/c they float around so much or is it unusual.
Re: Breech Baby
Don't worry... it is really early still!!! Most babies don't flip and go head down until late in pregnancy.
My baby didn't flip until right after 36 weeks! And, she didn't "drop" until I was in labor and pushing as hard as I could!

It's WAY too early for you to worry.
25% of babies are still breech even at 32 weeks, and by full term, all but 3-4% will turn to vertex (head down).
