  I am always a little nervous before sonograms too. That's a normal part of being a mom. But I try to not get so worked up that I'm feeling ill or making myself miserable. Remember that a healthy baby is the norm, not the exception. And if there is an issue THEN worry and deal with it. Don't waste energy over what-ifs that may never happen.

  Awww sweetie don't go by what ur reading, just b positive n I'm sure everything is going to b ok... remember when ur all nervous n anxious u make the baby feel the same way...
  I have two boys n now expecting a baby girl n I can't wait to go for my anatomy scan!

  I always get nervous for that appointment too but hopefully you'll have a nice ultrasound technician who will be very open and explain all of the measurements to you and put your mind at ease.

  I can sympathize with you! I go on May 5th for my 20 week scan and I am also nervous! I still haven't felt the baby move so I'm just going to be relieved when we hear the heartbeat. The four weeks between appointments feels like forever! We also get the results of our Quad Screen that day and I am terrified. I am trying to stay positive that everything will be fine but it is so scary! I am a FTM and am constantly worried. I've been lucky enough to have no symptoms really, except for mild headaches and sore breasts.. but sometimes I wish something was happening so I would know that I am normal and the baby is in there!

  Thank you ladies I love all the replies! My little girl has been kicking me sooooo much these past 4 days it's insane!!! Super nervous but definitely more excited for the 20 Weeks scan!:)

  I know how you feel! I have siblings with conditions ranging from severe spina bifida to clef lip and palate. Logically, I know my chances of having a baby with those issues are very slim, but it's hard not to assume the worst!

  I'm the same way! I worry so much that something is wrong...especially since I just found out that new studies have shown the medicine I was on between conception and finding out (like 3 weeks) has been found to cause miscarriage and birth defects! I'm finding it hard to stay calm...but we go in May 8th too! Wishing us healthy babies!

  I have been the EXACT same way for every single ultrasound. I get sooo anxious before every single one. But everything has been perfect with my little man so far and I'm always so relieved and happy when I see/hear that little heartbeat :x . I had my 20 week anatomy scan this past Monday and I was very nervous. I quickly realized there was nothing to be worried about! Everything will be fine girl! It's perfectly normal for us to worry, that's a mom's job after all!! >-
