My throat still hurts a good amount but overall feeling better now than I did last night. Wish I could be more productive coughing this junk out of my throat, but I'm sure I'll get there eventually. Patience, young Padawan. Oh, and my general yuckiness has kept me up all strange hours of the night. Sleep some, wake up and drink some water while grimacing in pain, sleep a little more, wake up and drink some water while grimacing in pain, repeat and repeat and repeat. Hence, why I am up at 6am on a frickin Saturday
Today is my last baby shower! So excited to celebrate baby girl's arrival with family and friends! I just hope my feet don't swell too bad today! It's been rough lately! 34 weeks and 4 days today! Heartburn has been so rough over the last week! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
I'm also having a baby shower today, this time with my family. I'm very excited for it! I feel pretty good today, aside from really starting to have trouble breathing because baby's getting so big. Getting up and down, even from chairs, is starting to be a struggle. Just normal stuff for being 34w4d! Also my ear isn't feeling as funky today so I'm hoping that this means the underwater feeling is going away for good? Such a weird symptom.
I probably won't be on too much this weekend, I hope you all have a good one! Stay healthy!
I'm exhausted. I knew I would be, but this is so intense, and at least in the first trimester, there was a reason. Or at least I felt like HG was the reason. It is so frustrating.
I have such intense insomnia that I want to cry. I haven't slept all week for more than an hour or two at a time. 7 more weeks of this?? I don't know if I'll make it with how I feel today and yesterday.
Turns out, I don't have muscle strain from the flu & bronchitis that I'm getting over. I have a CRACKED RIB! I was wondering why it was hurting so much, and I thought I was being a baby. Nope, doc said it wasn't muscle strain, but my rib. I'm pissed. It's gonna be weeks before that pain goes away. If my child gets my lungs, I might cry. (No wonder my mom always beats herself up whenever I get anything respiratory related. I'd feel like I ruined my kid if he got my lungs/propensity for bronchitis. I get it now!)
I have all the other reg pregnancy symptoms like heartburn, sciatic pain, ligament pain, moodiness, back pain, etc., but I feel like these discomforts are making my HG flare up again. I'm grateful for the break, but each time I throw up, I have a mini panic that it's come back and I'll be throwing up 20x day again.
I've been fairly calm this pregnancy... until the past two weeks. Now, the stupidest things are setting me off. I'm territorial over baby with things like the nursery and moody and emotional. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
@Westypet - a cracked rib?!?! Holy broken bones, mama! That has got to suck so bad.
@shaq818 I don't know much about them (I'm a ftm) but I have seen teas at the store that are supposed to help with milk supply. I have no idea if they are worth a damn, tho
Omg @Mommaswizz I just now saw what time the game is, and I'm going to be at work! $*#%&!@!!!!! My shift starts just at puck drop! Hopefully I can commandeer a TV to peek at sometimes. Have fun at the game, lady!
I fell at Costco today. It's rainy and their concrete is like a slip n slide. My feet went right out from underneath me. Luckily I fell backwards and my hands caught me before my butt hit the ground. LO definitely got squished, but he's moving around as usual. Wondering if I pulled/stretched a muscle in my side, cause it's aching. Ouch.

You should call your Dr to be on the safe side!
I've been doing great! Asked my DH if he wanted to take a drive up the canyons to go get gluten free chicken nuggets (for me). Maybe we will see if we can get to the family cabin.
@kbbtah I fell a couple of times over the winter, thanks to ice. I've also slipped on wet floors at work. Its a total suck. Hurts my pride, and each time I always felt like I pulled something, somewhere for a day or two. I never did call my doctor, but I always paid attention to how I felt and how LO felt afterwards. And always the watching for bleeding or cramping, etc. Sorry your pride and your side got wounded.
Feeling overall tired and like I might actually need to try this pillow between the legs thing at night. I feel like I have been stabbed in the hip. No real plans for the weekend that I know of, though DH is known for his last minute adventures, so probably just going to hang out in bed, pig out and watch American Horror Story.

Are you okay??? Are your wrists ok? Can you put a heating pad on your side while you wait to talk to doc just in case?

Yeah, I'm having a real pity party today. My mom drive 8 hrs to come visit this weekend for my shower and we're relaxing on the couch. Thank God for her. She's an angel.

Hope you're feeling ok!! I would definitely call my doctor just in case! Most likely everything is fine but you could have hurt something internally that may not present symptoms right away. A coworker of mine fell when she was pregnant and felt completely fine but called her doctor anyways just to be sure. They had her come in and it turns out she had minor placental abruption and has to stay in the hospital for a few hours. It ended up healing on its own but you never know! I'd rather be overcautious while pregnant. Hope you continue to feel better!!
So so so so hungry today - it feels impossible to get enough food. Since I am scheduled for a c section at 36w1d I am hoping this means little miss is going through a growth spurt. She's on track to be 5-6 lb at 36w1d and I am hoping she can be at the upper end of that estimate!
Rib pain. Ugh. Been trying to nap all afternoon but the pain is too much! We are going to dueling pianos event at the hall in our town tonight...... Was hoping to not be a crab!
I feel like in the last two days the baby and my bladder have been formally introduced. When I'm sitting it's not as bad but when I'm standing or walking he or she gives it a swift kick and I almost lose it. I also have the sensation of needing to go all the time!
Heartburn, tiredness and 2 sore butt cheeks from the lovely steroid shots I received Thursday and Friday to help the girls' lung development. Here's to relaxing on the sofa with Netflix all weekend, we all deserve it right?
I have a 30th bday party tonight, my best friends baby shower tomorrow! My other best friends baby shower next weekend! Anyone else have an insane about of bridal/ showers weddings all hitting them at once? I've been cooking food for the shower all day and now I'm so sore I don't want to go to the birthday party I can totally wear converse with a dress right??

Totally! You are pregnant, you can wear whatever you want
That is my motto right now. Flip flops aren't really dress code but I'm pregnant and no one will question that!
i woke up like 4 hours ago. and i feel like i need a nap. but i work in a couple hours so i cant this fatigue is killing me here. luckily its only a 5 hour shift. but thats 5 hours of being on my feet and being all stressed and junk.

Heart burn even though I'm sitting straight up, and back pain causing insomnia... Grrr.
Weekends plans include trying again to replace my jalopy with a new car and a five hour labor and birthing class. Not the most fun weekend.
Next Saturday I have an EIGHT hour prepared childbirth class. It's literally all day - 8am - 4pm. It includes a tour of the l&d wing, and I'm sure some scary videos on birth. All I know is, those homies better provide some lunch. For realz
Was able to power thru my 4 hour shift at work today, but it was perfectly timed, about a half hour before my shift ended my energy tanked, my throat pain turned back up a few notches, and I started to get this muscle pull sensation in the lower left of my bump. I've noticed it before when I've been on my feet for a while. Really happy that I only have 1 more week of work left before the 'season' ends (I had committed to working till end of the season).
Also broke down and purchased a neti pot for this nose / throat / nasal drip / allergies. I'm a little freaked about pouring distilled water into my nose, but hey, if it helps my throat now and my allergies later? Excellent.

Yeah I guess I'm ok with a one-time longer class than a series of short ones (and many ruined weekends)!
I'm sure this would be more appropriate for FFFQ, but is it possible to feel your cervix dilating? Because I'm having some awful pains on my cervix that don't feel like lightening crotch. Also baby is hitting something in the vicinity of my left ovary which hurts like hell.
Other than that, feeling fine. Contractions seem to be less often, which is very nice.
So at 3 pm today I felt like I peed a little. Didn't feel right. Monitored it through our dinner and called the on call. Off to the hospital and guess what? Ruptured! On bed rest in the hospital and getting a c section in 48 hours after the baby gets steroids for lung development.

Guess I will be in the April birth club!
Will be thinking and praying for you and your LO. Keep us updated.

Post nasal drip from my yuckness hurts my throat. My throat hurting wakes me up. That, combined with *raging* hunger and the ewok punching me to get some food keeps me awake. Which is why I decided to just get up at 430am after being awake for an hour or so unsuccessfully trying to go back to sleep. Maybe now that I'm sitting my nose will drain the right way, too
Hey everybody! Who can sleep in a hospital? Not me! I should be 34 weeks on Monday and they are hoping to do c section Tuesday unless I naturally go into labor before hand.
Baby and I are doing well, it was measuring huge for awhile so I feel confident it will be a big preemie. I'm sad that it won't be coming home with me, but will likely be in the nicu.
And "it" will finally have a gender soon and get a name! We got a puppy a few weeks ago and one stroke of luck is my mom happened to be visiting from out of state this weekend so she's home with the pup, hubby is here with me, and my mom won't hold a life long grudge for moving away because she'll be the first person to see her grandchild.
My advice to anyone is that if u feel something is off, not matter how silly, or how many Google articles you read, if something isn't right just call!!!
We are lucky it was a slow leak, caught early, fluid still clear with an active healthy baby in there. If I waited until my appointment Tuesday we may not have had the same outcome.
I've been so anxious this pregnancy, we thought this for sure would be a trip where we'd be sent home and told it was nothing. But instincts were right! Sorry so long, but I love being right - especially when my husband is annoyed we have to drive into the city at 8:30 on a Saturday night! Thank goodness I had JUST packed my hospital bag yesterday.
Good luck to all of you. Since I'll be in bed for a couple days I'll be trolling around on here!
