Complete Bicornuate Uterus and doctor concern

Wondering if there's anyone else out there with a complete bicornuate uterus or experience. My doctors are not watching me closely like they told me they would be. In fact I risked out of my midwife and then they are sending me back to her for my 20 week appt. My specialist has me seeing him every 6-7 weeks and my ob said that was good enough. Should I say something? It would be nice to hear from anyone who maybe has experience or more information on complete bicornuates. Thank you!

    I don't have experience with this condition, but having been high risk I would call and talk to the specialist about your concerns. They may have information on why they want to see you at certain intervals that will put your mind to rest. It never hurts to ask. They may hear your concern and see you again sooner. I was being seen every two weeks from 28 weeks to delivery at 35 weeks by my Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialty group (doc, ultrasound tech, & nurse). I hope this helps!

    I have a biconuate uterus and get a detailed ultrasound and see my OB every three weeks. With my first pregnancy it was every 4 weeks with a detailed ultrasound. Also my specialist/OB has his own nurse who will also check on baby for me when I feel anxious. If you're are feeling worried I would tell them, also speaking with a counselor who works with pregnancy issues is also a great move. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have those appointments. Also check to see what your insurance will cover, since you're high risk I can't imagine that they would deny extra visits. Best of luck to you, stay positive!!!

    I'm 13 weeks+1, and at 9 weeks I found out that I have complete uterine didelphys. I've been told that I will be having ultrasounds at four weeks apart all throughout second trimester and than two to three weeks between my third trimester and every week closer to the end of my pregnancy. I would mention to your doctor your worries; in my opinion, it is always better to ere on the side of caution. Also, if this doctor doesn't understand your concerns, maybe consider seeing someone else. You want someone who will consider the risks and take as much care of the baby and you as possible with a high risk pregnancy such as this. Continuing to worry though won't do you or baby any good, so I would say talk to the doctor and see what other options there are! God bless and just be in prayer about it! Me and my husband have<3

    Thank you so much! Makes me feel better to know I have other options and I'm not the only one with longer length gaps between appointments.

    I have a bicornuate uterus too. From about 18 or 19 weeks (I'm 26 weeks now), they have had me in for a transvaginal ultrasound every two weeks to monitor my cervix length. Before that, I went in every four weeks. It wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion if you are uncomfortable with the amount of monitoring they are doing. My mfm said that the second trimester is when they like to step up the ultrasounds to make sure everything is okay.
