DH and I are caught in the middle of moving without actually being able to move (his transfer at work was supposed to have been announced last January, but still hasn't happened) 900 miles away from our last home. So I had to come before him and wait, while he keeps coming and going (I would have stayed behind with him, but we have no family there and the prenatal/OB care is better here). As a result, we have to spend every other week apart. It is so unfair!
So are you ready to vomit?
1. I miss him as soon as he is out the door. I mope around and even cry (oh, hormones! You nasty evil things!).
2. we call each other like two or three times a day on skype just to make cute noises and talk sweet nonsense to one another.
3. before we go to bed if we haven't just been talking, we text each other with cute good night messages.
4. we do the annoying baby talk thing, and love it. Don't even know what I am gonna do once LO arrives - I think we'll have to keep that in the bedroom, wouldn't want my child to develop a speech impediment on account of me...
5. right now, as post on TB, he is right here in front of me, working (he can work while away from his office, via internet, which is how com he can spend so much time with me). We are sitting opposite each other. Every now and then, one of us will pull a face at the other, or make a cute sound, or blow a kiss. I don't even like to think about the next time he'll have to leave (next tuesday).
My heart goes out to the the ladies whose SOs have to be gone for long periods of time. It really does. Being apart sucks.
