ok you want some spice, here's my UO: when people complain about not having an early ultrasound at 16 weeks to find out the sex it sounds a bit spoiled. I might feel like that because we are going team green this time and not finding out until birth and I may have been just like that with my previous children when we did find out, but it's just my opinion. Think back to our mother's generation where they didn't have the option of finding out at all!
@SweetnSassy23 I usually just don't respond in those cases. I want to be true to my nature so im not going to say things i dont mean.. So I'll just keep my big yap shut
@on_the_move Totally agree. Do i want an early ultrasound to find out the sex? Yep. Can i realisticly expect that from my ob? Nope. So were likely going to pay extra for one, as its just something wed like (and gosh has my mom been nagging us too! She wants to start knitting things for her first grandchild..) and that gives the option to. If you want something extra, theres always places where you can pay some money to get it done ^^

My UO is that I HATE the million and one threads for the same topic. It really is much easier when all of the content on a topic is in the same place as well as not clogging the board with the 100 of the very same topic. This is probably because the BMB I was a part of last year when I was pregnant was serious about it. They really would get upset for multiple threads for the same topic.
@CaitLewis15 lmfao I think wed become the mean girls ! Lolzz I understand its hard to navigate this but sometimes you see the same thread on the same page its more of a common sense thing I think!
Hahaha live you guys!!! I thought it was just me... I read some of these threads and am like for real?! But it's so additive to read. Lol but I am all about letting ppl have it about over done topics!
For those that are not team green (which I feel is most people) I don't understand the response "I could never do that, I'm a planner" I feel it's extremely rude. I can still plan and have everything my baby well need without knowing it's a boy or girl. Last I checked all babies need the same essential items regardless of sex.

Oh no...please don't turn into the N15 board....it's literally a drama disaster over there LOL
I agree with @Amazing450. I would add that sometimes acting like an adult means keeping your mouth shut*** even though someone else is wrong or annoying.
I like the lack of drama.
And oh my have you seen the November '15 board? It's a complete $hit show! Reminds me of this board in it's early days!
Edited to add: ***but not on boards dedicated to airing out your grievances!

I am techinically due Nov. 3rd, but came here because of the November drama....it's out of control. Tons of people got banned.
I hate when the subject of posts are super vague. "???" and "TMI" are not subjects! Also, please use full words and punctuation! Sometimes, I can't even understand what the poster is trying to say.

I can't stand when there is a post without an ounce of punctuation. I get so irritated reading these posts that I can't even get the point of what they're trying to say.
Easy. Those folks sometimes come to this board. Wouldn't want to bring any drama on to this board. I do appreciate how friendly it is compared to others.
We hadn't wanted to find out but did on accident during the genetic test sono because the tech didn't tell us when to look away and to be fair we didn't think to say...hey we aren't wanting to find out.
The first two I wanted to be that "planner" this time I wanted to have fun doing the gender neutral stuff and drive my family crazy until October. Oh well. lol
I think this boards needs more spice. Am I the only person who has snark and holds it back?
My holding back is actually what keeps me from posting really. I'm a very blunt person who doesn't believe that coddling helps anyone. I'm not saying it's free reign to be an absolute d!ck, but there are times where people are like aww (hugs) and I'm over here like "grow up buttercup." So I take the if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all approach.

OMG! I hate the super vague titles of posts! I click on one and I'm like really? Not what I thought this post would be about. Then later I'll see the yellow number of posts updates and forget that I don't care about updates then check it again! I wish I could click something to say I don't want updates anymore from this post! And yes! Go back and search in the earlier posts first for the same subject! Maybe we should make that a post title and keep bumping it! Oye! I think my bad day at work is rubbing off in this post!
So I'm not the only one who noticed that October15 had some nasty users in the early days when I first joined! I saw 2 or 3 usernames (that I can't remember now) tear this mom apart, all because she made the mistake of saying she learned she was pregnant when she was 2 weeks pregnant, when I think she just meant 2 weeks post ovulation. And she was so diplomatic about it and kept saying "I understand" and "thank you" and these trolls kept touting their medical backgrounds just to prove how wrong she was (anyone who has to rely on a title is a d-bag in my opinion). That post kept me away for weeks and I didn't resurface here until my second trimester!
So to all the moms who are holding back their snarky and spicy comments, I thank you for your restraint. I get enough negative and invasive comments from all sorts of random people in my life, so I really enjoy coming to this board as a way to connect with others who are going through the same thing. I too sometimes think some posts are irrelevant, to put it nicely, but I'm hoping that the "if you don't have something nice to say then don't say it" attitude will prevail.
My UO: I hate when people complain about tipping. Its called "social convention" and its just something you go along with! Its not going to change. I make server wage ($3.85 per hour in Missouri) and rely on tips. I understand that its my choice to work in a restaurant and I accept that my income fluctuates.
So if you don't tip because the service is bad, speak to a supervisor. Seriously. I've been a supervisor and real complaints are rare. If you're just cheap, get take out. You're embarrassing your friends and family when they dine out with you.
A person who is nice to you, but not to the waiter, is not a nice person.
Along with using punctuation, it seems to be an issue to check grammar and spelling and profread posts and comments before hitting send. Sometimes I can't even make out what people are trying to get across. I know this isn't English class but still.
@cgummie That one in particular was very weird to me. Where I'm from, tipping is something you do if youre extremely happy with the service. Its not convention at all, as all employees get a good wage. It boggled my mind when I came to America that people need tips to get by! I do tip these days because of that, but because Im from somewhere where its not needed nor normal, I dont quite like it. I feel like all employees should get enough pay to get by on in this country, too. I understand that that wont happen though, so like I said, I do tip and I dont actively complain about it, but I just wanted to respond with why I personally am not a fan of the need to tip.
@babymazzei: Congratulations!! I remember you posting your suspicions haha So happy for you!
@MelMel92 I wish it wasn't a thing either-- I'd rather get paid hourly so I know how much I'll make next week. I just want people to accept that its not going to change and do it lol
Re: UO Thursday
@MelMel92
Nice to know I'm not the only one. I see some of these posts and I think, "really?" But everyone is super nice, so I just feel like a jerk.
