@ngaines27 I can just imagine that conversation - 'why are you here today?' "Well, other than I almost had a stroke on Friday and the drs at that time told me to check in with you today as follow up, I guess because I enjoy hanging around your waiting room so much" 'oh. Well, have a nice day' #-o

And yes, I haven't seen @frankengibbs post for a while either

Almost exactly how it went down! *eye roll* His nurse spent more time with me discussing how scary I sounded on the phone Friday than he even spent in the room. It was disheartening, to say the least.

Am I imagining that @frankengibbs had an important appointment today??
That's right. Her appointment for an ultrasound regarding CF and the fundal height. (I had to go back and review her posts. Mommy brain wouldn't let me remember) We're thinking about you @frankengibbs! Hope all is well!

I feel like so many of us are dealing with incredibly stupid people the past couple of days, and most of them dealing with our healthcare. What the hell is wrong with these providers?? I'm pissed off for you.
Seriously!?! The saddest part (for me) is we live in an extremely rural area and he's one of 3 to choose from and he's definitely the best option. :/ I happened to be an hour away at an orthopedic appointment with one of my foster daughters when my episode began Friday which prompted a visit to a hospital (not covered under my insurance, of course) but that took incredible care of me. This is affordable healthcare. . .
  • Sounds like eveybody had a rough day. I spent my day off sleeping off a weekend of sore/swollen hands, nausea, heartburn and trying to care for a DH with a head cold. Sleep didn't help. I can barely move my hands other than thumbs and can't even drink water or milk without heartburn.

Hopefully my appointment tomorrow will have be good and maybe my dr will have some ideas.

Glad @finchfeeder80 is feeling a little better. Sorry I didn't check on u. I feel like we've had a bunch of ladies on here that have been having PTL symptoms and/or end of pregnancy discomforts and complications. My apologies if I forget to check in on someone. X_X

I've been busy cleaning and nesting today. Prepping for my sprinkle on Sunday. My hostesses live on the outskirts of town, so my house is a logical choice. I just don't want to clean the damn thing. Lol. Luckily I have a friend helping me that is staying with us for a few weeks. It's always nice to have an extra hand. With that said, I'm like a lot of you other ladies and have been tiring out easily and having SOB. It's incredibly frustrating. So I'm taking it easy right now folding cloths and thumbing through TB while DS naps. I'll take my breaks when I can get them.

As for those trying to rehydrate without heartburn, a friend said milk was her first choice to ward off HB. It does the opposite for me so who the hell knows. Maybe eat some watermelon?

Thanks for those heartburn suggestions! Maybe dairy is a good option. I usually do ok with cereal, and last night, cottage cheese seemed to feel okay.
I haven't tried it yet, but cucumber has been suggested as effective heart burn relief as well; for those that are having dairy/at the end of your rope issues.

  • I have no idea what is going on with my bladder! I feel like it's not emptying all the way??? I'll go and stand up and feel like I have to go again. It's especially annoying at night.

I had this. I read somewhere that if you lean all the way forward towards the end of the stream (lovely, I know), until you are kind of looking down towards the floor your bladder empties a little more. It seems to help me a bit. Not that I don't have to pee again in about ten minutes but it least it feels empty temporarily!
