TTC after Vasectomy Reversal(VR)

Hi, my name is Kayla and I am 25. My husband (Josh) is 30 and had a VR in November 2014. We have only been actively trying since January, but the wait is killing me. We were told by the Dr. who performed the VR that average couples TTC after VR is 3 years. I am not concerned about my age, I know I am nowhere near having to worry about my biological clock, but my stepson is going on 8 years old and that will be a huge age difference. I don't really have any questions, just wanted to see if any couples went through a VR and what your journey was like.
